WHATELY — A two-car collision on Route 5 and 10 shortly before 3 p.m. Friday afternoon caused two drivers to be transported to separate hospitals with minor injuries.
Massachusetts State Police say a Chicopee man was driving north on Route 5 and 10 near the Interstate 91 South ramp in a light blue Honda Civic. At the same time, a woman driving a dark blue Jeep Grand Cherokee was turning left onto the on ramp and the two vehicles collided.
The male driver was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield and the female driver was taken to Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton.
Both vehicles were towed by Koch’s Automotive.
The Whately Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident. No other information about the identities or condition of the drivers is available at this time.
