Everybody plays Quidditch, the game based on Harry Potter’s Hogwarts School rivalry. Rain or shine Mondays. Best for ages 7 & up.
Mother Goose on the Loose, Tuesday, 10 to 11 a.m.
Join the happy circle with Kay Lyons at a lap-sit story hour for children age 3 and under (with a grown-up) at the Greenfield Public Library. Lyons reads books, leads the group in hand rhymes, and uses puppets to teach animal sounds and other concepts new to the very young. Each session is 45 minutes, with half an hour of structured activity and about 15 minutes of visiting time. No sign-up is required, and the program is free of charge thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Greenfield Public Library.
Fandoms Anonymous Teen Book Club: Tuesday, 2:30 to 4 p.m.
The Fandoms Anonymous Teen Book Club meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month. The book selection for August is “Snow Like Ashes”, by Sarah Raasch. Join the group for a lively discussion even if you haven’t read the book.

First Wednesday Speaker Series: Garden Preparation for Fall and Winter, Wednesday, 6 p.m.
The First Wednesday Speaker Series welcomes Llani Davidson of Broadfork Permaculture to present Garden Beds in Fall. Llani Davidson has over 12 years of experience in organic CSA farming, home-scale food production, and teaching permaculture design. She currently builds food gardens throughout Franklin and Hampshire Counties with her team at Broadfork Permaculture, a permaculture landscaping cooperative.
Reading Relay: All ages Read-Aloud, Thursday, 4 p.m.
Kids of all ages will love read-aloud story hour. Children’s Librarian Kay or a guest reader will read picture books, folk tales or passages from favorite chapter books in a theme each week, with sing-along songs and some puppetry to go along with the theme.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Read! Finish Line Party with Tim Van Egmond, Saturday 10:30 a.m.
Celebrate getting to the summer reading finish line with a performance by Tim Van Egmond, master storyteller and musician. Final reading prizes, including a free book, will be given out. Refreshments will be served. All in all, a grand ending to a great summer race to read.
