The Country Players will present “Mystery Mania!” as its summer youth theater offering this year. It will be presented Aug. 12, 13 and 14 at Frontier Regional School in South Deerfield.

It will be performed by the elementary school age players, while the second, “And Then There Were None,” directed by David Peck,” will be performed by the older children.

“The Mystery of the Gumdrop Dragon” is a magical fairytale that witnesses the Princess of Candyland mourning the loss of her pet dragon. She seeks out some pretty colorful characters to help her find him.

“And Then There Was One” is a spoof of Agatha Christie’s seminal work, “And Then There Were None.” Ten strangers arrive at a house, only to be offed one by one.

Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $8 for children age12 and under and seniors. Showtimes are Friday, Aug. 12, and Saturday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. The show on Sunday, Aug. 14, will be at 2 p.m.

There will be an encore performance of “The Mystery of the Gumdrop Dragon” in Montague Center on Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. That show will be part of Old Home Days there. The location and ticket prices will be announced.
