Dana Greene’s article on climate change stated that global oil consumption is 1.5 million barrels per day. Is the author stating the wrong facts or did the editor miss a typo?
Global oil consumption, according to the International Energy Association (IEA), is 96 million barrels per day. I always assumed the proper way to inform people was to present facts and data sources that could be verified.
The media seems to spend a lot of resources on fact-checking politicians that they don’t agree with.
