Phase II of library renovation begins

SHELBURNE — Jones Whitsett Architects has been hired for the design work on Phase II of the Arms Library/Pratt Library building renovation. Selectmen’s Chairman Robert Manners said that the firm has been hired for the design work necessary for the building’s foundation.

Manners said the project is expected to take two to three weeks. He is hoping it will go out to bid in time for the work to begin either last September or early October.

School board member resigns

SHELBURNE — Mohawk Trail Regional School District Committee member Willow Cohen has resigned from her position, citing time constraints as her reason for leaving.
