To the Ricketts Family and sweet Penny:

I’ve known your family for years. Your “mom and dad” and brother for contributing to your town of Wendell and now, you work so hard, to do the same for Greenfield! You went to school with all my kids and do you think any of us, once thought about the color of your skin? No, never. This world is so, so prejudiced of everyone, everything and anything that doesn’t agree with their beliefs, styles and ways we all go in this life. When I read about the racism toward you, it hurt my “heart,” Penny. Please accept my love for you and many others. The good Lord loves us all (no matter our skin color or how we live our lives). This is a very, very evil world we live in and all, “all” of us can do; to keep our sanity! It’s not our job to be judge’s of anyone. Your in my prayers, please know this! Many of my friends live different lifestyles and I love them dearly. I’m also “blessed” to belong to a church that also accepts all people, no matter their choice of lifestyles. You keep up the battle, Penny and don’t ever give it up for anybody! To those who sent you all those terrible emails, I’ll pray for you also. Shame on you all. We are all in God’s hands! My daughter and I have  a lot of support and love for you and your work you do for town of Greenfield. They are blessed to have you. Keep it up, Penny! With love from,

Patricia Leah “Jurser” Babbitt
