Walk-off wins are starting to become commonplace for Teddy Bear Pools this season.

Andrew Sadowski helped improve the walk-off total to three Wednesday evening when his two-out, two-run single gave Teddy Bear Pools a come-from-behind, 3-2 victory over rival Manny’s TV & Appliance Center in a Tri-County League men’s amateur baseball game at G. Thomas Valiton Field in South Deerfield.

Brad Bean got things started for the Teddies in the seventh with a leadoff single to left-center field. After Thomas Malooly flew out to right, David White ripped a single to center field, moving Bean to second. Seth Leslie popped up to second base for the second out but Liam Datres de la Blotier was able to beat out a nubber between the mound and first base to load the bases.

That brought Sadowski, who proceeded to smashed a shot over the head of third baseman Jamie Carey and down the left-field line to plate Bean and White with the tying and winning runs.

Teddy Bear (9-5-1) grabbed an early 1-0 lead in the second inning, when Leslie singled, moved to second on Datres de la Blotier’s grounder and Sadowski was hit by a pitch. Brody Markol came to the plate and slashed a line single to left to score Leslie.

Manny’s (6-7) responded with a pair of runs in the top of third to go ahead 2-1. Ryan McAuliffe led off with a base hit and Eric Libardoni drew a walk. Then after Jamie Carey flied out to right, Platner lined a single up the middle to plate McAuliffe and move Libardoni to third. Chris McAuliffe was hit by a pitch before Justin Carey’s fielder’s choice to third brought brought Libardoni home.

Mike Putala came up next but Teddy Bear starting pitcher Sam Downes avoided any further damage by picking Chris McAuliffe off second base for the final out.

Bean’s two singles paced a nine-hit attack for Teddy Bear.

Libardoni finished with three of Manny’s seven hits.

Downes went the distance for the win, striking out two and walking one.

Devin Rhodes fanned three and walked one in the complete-game loss.

The teams combined to make five errors.
