MONTAGUE — The Shea Theater will present an evening of live music and dance today to support the Light Up the Shea Campaign.
The West African drumming band, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars will start at 7:30 p.m.
Proceeds will support paying for a permanent sound and light system mounted to the ceiling, which Shea producers hope will ultimately reduce rental equipment costs and help draw nationally known acts.
Since it re-opened in March, the Shea has hosted about 20 shows.
The “Light Up the Shea” campaign has already raised donations and received pledges totaling $205,000 toward its $250,000 goal.
