Greenfield, June 18

8:22 a.m. — Larceny reported from Foster’s Supermarket on Allen Street where the reporting person says his wallet was stolen from his backpack, where he had placed the wallet while he was working; the reporting person suspects a female co-worker; the wallet has money, Mass ID, and Social Security card missing, along with the brown wallet which has an eagle print on it; the wallet was located on Elm Street, and the only thing missing was money.

11:23 a.m. — Lost property reported in the area of the Texaco station on the Mohawk Trail where the reporting person says a black wallet with a Velcro closure, was left on the car roof at the station.

12:02 p.m. — Accident on Federal Street near Brown Motors, officers and Fire Department sent, but no injuries reported, Medcare on scene, with minor personal injuries, and two were transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, AAA was requested for tow of one vehicle.

12:44 p.m. — Report of a wire down on Farren Street; Verizon contacted.

1 p.m. — Breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, reported from James Street, where the caller says the vehicle was entered and change and checkbooks were taken; the vehicle was unlocked; and says it happened sometime Thursday night after 9 p.m., and was discovered Friday morning; the bank has already been notified.

1:20 p.m. — Disturbance on Union Street where the caller says a 60ish male, gray hair, straggly looking, wearing a dress, and is urinating in public; officer found the known male outside of a building, but when asked about urinating outside, he denied being involved; the known male was told the officer will be speaking with the reporting person, and that may lead to the known male receiving a summons; the male subject retreated back to his apartment.

2:18 p.m. — Despondent person reported at a ServiceNet residence on Maple Street where the subject voluntarily agreed to go with Medcare to the hospital to be evaluated.

3:53 p.m. — Shoplifting reported at Whitney Hill Antiques on Main Street where an officer is to investigate.

4:12 p.m. — Caller from Wells Street requests an officer for a female that is sitting against the building; officer sent, and two females were moved along.

6:02 p.m. — Accident reported at Hope and Main streets where the operator of a red truck advised he hadn’t realized that he lightly struck the rear of a car; information was exchanged; no damage found on the Malibu.

8:28 p.m. — Caller reported a sinkhole is forming in front of a Wells Street location; officer found the hole off the side of the roadway, but not a hazard to a motor vehicle at this time; but advised dispatch to relate the issue to the DPW so that it can be taken care of the first thing in the morning.

9:32 p.m. — Despondent person reported on Shattuck Street where the female involved was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, when the female was found with a superficial cut; she was transported by Medcare without incident, and Section 12 forms were filed at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

9:52 p.m. — Officer sent to Bernardston Road to assist a person who stated he is locked inside the gate at Casey Storage Solutions; officer spent time trying to assist the person involved, but then cleared for missing children.

10:11 p.m. — Report of an incident involving two children, ages 5 and 7, have gone missing; the 5-year-old male was wearing green shorts and has blond hair, the 7-year-old female has long hair and black shorts; both Montague and state police are sending K-9 units; the children were then located on Bernardston Road and it was found that the children believed they were going to walk to New York to see the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; they were reunited with their parents.

11:25 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Montague City Road where the reporting person says she heard what she believed to be gun shots on the river; Montague Police were also advised of the call; officers weren’t able to locate the source of the shots; two shots were heard while officers were on a call at Baystate Franklin Medical Center,

12:30 a.m. — Disturbance reported in area of Camp Kee-wanee on Health Camp Road, where the reporting person states that as soon as officers left, the music was turned back up; the reporting person doesn’t want the music turned down, he would like the party shut down, it is 12:30 at night; officers found the music/wedding at an extremely reasonable noise level; spoke with the person there and no action required.

12:58 a.m. — Caller from near the Dollar Tree on the Mohawk Trail states there is a semi-tractor-trailer truck parked by the store and is running with its lights on for over an hour; officer spoke with the sleeping person in the tractor-trailer unit, and he stated he will turn the truck off.

6:43 a.m. — A report from near the Dollar Tree reports the same truck is still at this location and is running again; units were advised.

7:02 a.m. — Breaking and entering reported on Chapman Street where the caller says his son came into his house, through his window, stole his medication, and the same is still in the residence; officers responded and found the known male was allowed entry into the residence, by the mother; somehow the male navigated through multiple locked doors and hiding spots to remove every medication that belonged to his parents, without waking the father up; the father also told an officer a black male and a white female were outside in some unknown motor vehicle and left when confronted by the father, after the son fled the area. Medication list to be provided at some point.

11:18 a.m. — Accident reported by a walk-in about the incident at Dunkin’ Donuts on the Mohawk Trail, but no injuries reported; report was filed.

11:23 a.m. — Accident reported on the Interstate 91 rotary at the Applebee’s side, no injuries reported, minor damage.

11:58 a.m. — Disturbance on Pond Street where the caller says a group of people are yelling and swearing at this location, officers responded and the disturbance was quieted and all was OK.

12:02 p.m. —Caller reports that her ex-boyfriend “gave her money,” and then the same showed up to the Wells Street address last night, looking for the money; she states she is unable to access her account using her Social Security number and believes that this person may be using her account; the reporting person isn’t sure at this time if the male took money out of her account or his; she will check through the bank tomorrow, during business hours, to confirm if her account has been compromised; if so she will call back to file a report.
