Must you add to nearly every AP article you print about Bill Cosby the line, “The Cosbys own a home in Shelburne?” His residence is almost always irrelevant to the piece. Couldn’t you just print the AP article as written? Do you really believe that adding this line ad nauseam in any way adds new information or clarity? Please consider changing your policy or, if you feel its inclusion absolutely necessary, could you please explain why to your readership?
