Dear Joan Vander Vliet:
You have been an inspiration to many in Franklin County as you worked diligently for your church, school and many other philanthropic and volunteer groups. Always you were prepared, poised, kind, giving and elegant. The community’s selection of you as the 2010 Franklin County Citizen of the Year is as meaningful today as it was then. On behalf of all in the area, I wish you the very best as you move east to live closer to family. Your new community doesn’t know how lucky they are. Cheers!
