Shirley E. and Charles W. Dolby Sr. celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary March 5 with their children and seven of their 10 grandchildren and their spouses at Monarch’s restaurant in Deerfield.

Dolby and the former Shirley E. Height were married on March 2, 1946 in Great Barrington.
Dolby was owner of E.B. Dolby, Florist, Inc. Mrs. Dolby worked by her husband’s side at the florist.
They are the parents of Charles W. Dolby Jr. (Chick), of Littleton, Colo., Richard G. Dolby (Rick) of Niceville, Fla., Wayne D. Dolby of Great Barrington, Deborah D. Sigsworth of Greenfield, Elizabeth A. Dolby (Liz) of Greenfield, and Susan M. Tenbroeck of Great Barrington.
