SHELBURNE FALLS — The Franklin Land Trust office will be open on March 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. at 5 Mechanic St. for free one-on-one consultations with land conservation professionals.
Visitors can speak with experienced land trust staff about conservation, forest management, wildlife habitat, invasive plants, landowner programs, and planned giving. Landowners will receive a GIS map of their property, as well as a wide array of informational booklets and resources.
There is no cost or obligation after the consultation. The Franklin Land Trust has helped hundreds of families in western Massachusetts craft conservation plans that address their financial goals, family needs, and conservation vision.
Pre-registration is requested to facilitate map making, but walk-ins are welcome.
To register, call Melissa Patterson, program coordinator at 413-625-9151 or email mpatterson@franklinlandtrust.org.
The Franklin Land Trust works with landowners who seek to protect the farms, forests, and other natural resources significant to the environmental quality, economy and rural character of our region.
