DEERFIELD – A 34-year-old woman has pleaded innocent to four charges including indecent exposure related to an incident at a Deerfield bar in January.

Elizabeth Saunders, whose most recent reported address is Brattleboro, Vt., faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, assault and battery, indecent exposure and disorderly conduct. She has a pretrial conference scheduled for April 4.

According to Deerfield Police, two officers were dispatched to After Works, 2 Elm St., in South Deerfield, at 12:32 a.m. on Jan. 22 for a report of a disorderly woman. The police were told Saunders was behaving inappropriately. The bartender told Saunders to leave after she allegedly climbed onto the bar and started to strip. Saunders then allegedly removed more clothing and began to dance provocatively.

According to police, video footage of the incident was obtained and it revealed Saunders dance provocatively, exposing herself. Saunders allegedly took a Bud Light bottle and approached a woman, who used one hand to push Saunders away and the other hand to block Saunders’ hand holding the bottle. Both women fell to the floor and were pulled apart, with Saunders allegedly pulling out some of the other woman’s hair.
