It was a dominant performance for a couple of repeat champions.

David Reading won 30 of 36 games to capture the men’s division title for the second straight year, while Alexis Silk notched wins in 23 of a potential 25 games to claim the women’s title for the third time at the Greenfield Tennis Cup, sponsored by The Shelburne Falls Coffee Roasters, on Saturday at both the Beacon and Highland clay courts.

The men's division featured 13 players, and each participant played a total of 36 games. Reading’s 30 wins set the pace, while Steve Pedigree came in second place with 27 wins and Brian Campbell came in third with 25 wins.

Silk won the women’s division which featured six players (each participant playing a total of 25 games). there was six players. Susan Plante took second place with 15 wins and third place went to Olivia Wolbach with 13 wins.

The next GTA tournament will be the Beacon Classic, beginning Monday (July 22) at 5:30 p.m. at the Beacon Clay Courts in Greenfield.
