Bulletin Board: Frontier Mother’s Day Plant Sale takes place Saturday

The Frontier Baseball Booster Club is holding its fourth annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale on Saturday.
The sale is sponsored by Fairview Farms in Whately, with hanging baskets, patio pots and annuals available for sale. The sale will run from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the South County Senior Center in South Deerfield.

Descavich 13, Precision 6 — Charlie Lovett went 3-for-3 with four RBIs, Alexis Berry knocked two hits and struck out seven while Esme Sautter and Clara Stevens hit safely in Descavich’s win on Thursday.
Kendal Bernard doubled while Amy Vandoren singled for Precision.
Freedom Credit Union 0, Elks Club 0 — Tayanna Ndissi, Lycinia Guillemette, Sydney Brown and Alyza Rivera hit safely for Elks Club in a scoreless tie with Freedom on Thursday.

Greenfield Savings Bank 9, Montague Elks 8 — Camden Cogswell knocked a triple and two singles, Weston Tela singled and pitched while Daniel Ortiz tripled in GSB’s win Friday.

The 2024 Alexander Findlay Massachusetts Hickory Open took place on Friday at CCG, with Frank Flood taking first with a gross score of 375, winning a match of cards over Louis Falcone.
In net scoring, Jacob Orcutt took first (963). Falcone (35) and Conant (34) had the most Stableford Points while Hugh Cameron (478) and Dave Beamer (486) had the top plus/minus quota to gross.
• Donna Mowery won closest to the pin on No. 2 (21 feet, nine inches) while Luigi Pederzini won it on No. 5 (17-0.5) in the Greenfield Elks League on Wednesday.
Deb Donaldson rolled the high single (86) while Nanci Young had the high triple (235) in the Tuesday Mini League at the Shelburne Falls Bowling Alley this past week.
In the Thursday Mini League Karen Herzog rolled the women’s high single (96) and triple (276), Kendall Schneider had the men’s high single (139) while John Rodgers rolled the men’s high triple (314).
