Aaron Stone of Greenfield and Anna Zilinski of Northfield were the top finishers in the Chase’n A Mason 5K run held in Turners Falls on Sunday morning.
Stone led the overall pack, finishing in 17 minutes, 30 seconds.
Behind Stone was Grant Gonzalez of Northfield in second (17:56) and Zack Livingston of Shelburne in third place (18:39).
Zilinski, who won the women’s race, crossed the finish line at 19:12.
Laure Van Den Broeck of Greenfield was close behind in second place (19:40) and Alice McKeon (21:15) in third.

Monster Dash 5K
The 9th Annual Casual Fun Halloween 5K Run/Walk & Kid Bike is set for Oct. 26 at 9 a.m. beginning at Northfield Town Hall.

The Franklin County Bulldogs dropped their final game of the season, losing to Belchertown, 31-0, in PeeWee action.
On defense, Taevonn Page had six tackles and three sacks while Xavier Woodard had three tackles and a fumble recovery.
Bodie Burke and Landen Benz combined for eight tackles.
Bulldog Juniors
The Bulldogs beat Belchertown, 28-0 at Turners Falls High School over the weekend.
Nehemiah Rice rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns while Davian Bala rushed for 34 yards and another score.
Brody Girard had 45 yards receiving on two catches and scored a touchdown.
Gavin Arsenault went 3-for-4 passing, hitting Owen Hill and Bala both for two-point conversions.
Ronnie Stone, Brenton Russell, Seth Murray, Dustin Reade and D’Angelo Brown cleared the way on the offensive line.
Rice, Owen Hill and Benny Santiago led the defense with six tackles each.
Maziah Dandy, Zavyey Nieves, Stone and Bala all had four tackles. Russell, Reade, Jaxson Silva, Brown and Levi Dunn chipped in with two tackles each.

The Northfield Mount Hermon girls soccer team lost on the road to Andover, 2-1, on Saturday.
Emma Wennar scored, with Aniela Jensen picking up the assist. Maria Echezarreta made seven saves for the Hoggers.
Deerfield Academy
The Deerfield Academy field hockey team beat Taft, 4-0, at home on Saturday.
The football team shut out Exeter at home, 28-0. Volleyball lost to Exeter at home, 3-1. The boys soccer team had to settle for a home draw with Exeter, 2-2. The girls soccer team lost 1-0 at home. The girls and boys cross country team both lost to Exeter at home. In boys water polo action, Deerfield lost 18-6 at home to Exeter.
Patterson at Franklin Pierce
The Franklin Pierce University men’s golf team finished in seventh place out of 15 programs at the Le Moyne Fall Invitational hosted by the Lake Shore Yacht & Country Club on Saturday.
Conway native Nate Patterson subtracted three strokes from his first round card to finish at 147.
Patterson placed tied for 12th individually for the Ravens, which concluded their fall tournament schedule.
Babe Ruth
Pioneer Gardens fell behind in the first inning and lost to Westfield Blue, 8-7, in Babe Ruth Fall Ball action on Saturday.
Tyler Cusson had three hits for Pioneer with Gabe Solodky (three runs scored) and Dylen Richardson each adding two base-knocks. Cusson led Pioneer with two RBIs.
On Sunday, Pioneer lost to Westfield Red, 9-5.
Davey Mazur hit a double for Pioneer and added two RBI. Max Skribiski-Banack had two base-knocks while Aidan Heffernan, Solodky and Richardson (RBI) all reached base safely.
Mazur pitched two innings of scoreless relief with two strikeouts.
12U Valley Storm
The Storm lost to the Wachusett Stars, 16-6, on Saturday.
Maggie Fay had a hit with two RBIs and struck out five batters in five innings of work in the circle.
Also for the Storm, Hannah Gilbert had a hit and scored a run, Cordelia Guerin had a hit and scored three times and Anna Bucala scored twice.
FCHA Bantams
The Franklin County Hockey Assocation Bantam Green team beat Westfield, 7-2 , on Saturday at Collins Moylan Arena.
Hunter Smith led the offensive charge with three goals and two assists. Matt Lavoine added two goals and three assists, while Trevor Kuchieski scored with two assists and Will Miskovich added another goal. Will Cowie made 17 saves.
Playing on the road on Sunday in Keene, N.H., the Bantam Green team settled for a 2-2 tie against Keene.
Kuchieski scored twice with Smith and Lavoine adding two assists. Cowie made 24 saves.
FCHA Midgets
In Midgets action, FCHA (Lenois) Gilmore & Farrell Tornadoes split a pair of games over the weekend.
On Saturday, the Tornadoes lost to Parkinson, 7-3.
Adam Savoy scored twice with an assist. Derek Lenois and Sam Knight also scored with Kameron Tompkins and Owen Willhite adding assists.
The Tornadoes beat Nonotuck, 6-1, on Sunday.
Savoy found the net three times with two assists. Lenois and Evan Dubrule each scored once with an assist. Sam Knight picked up a goal, while Logan Hume, Matt Willhite and Tompkins each had a helper.
County Club of Greenfield
In the Scramble Bramble held on Sunday, two groups tied for first.
Michael Duclos, John Stacy, James Worden and Sue Luippold shot a combined 117.
Also shooting a 117 was Josh Harker, John Cormican, Gordon Parker and Dianne Wood.
In third place was Ike Purington, Ernie Patnone, Kathier Fahey and Alan Ball (119).
Crumpin-Fox
In the Three Club Championship held on Sunday, Keith Burch took first place, shooting an 81 (gross).
In second place was Brendan Creagh (82).
Michael O’Connell was first (net), shooting a 72 with Scott Dorval placing second (73).
