8:10 p.m. — Caller at the Stop & Shop gas station on Bernardston Road reports her 3-month-old puppy, Ollie, locked the doors to her car with the keys inside.
11:27 a.m. — Caller on H Street states that her child found a small pouch with needles in it outside of her home.
7:49 p.m. — Walk-in has stated she was assaulted by someone, but won’t say who. The incident happened three days ago. Officers spoke with the victim and advised of all the options.
9:32 p.m. — Caller states there is someone throwing water balloons at moving vehicles in the area of the Brick House Community Resource Center. Officer Joshua Dobosz spoke with some kids who said they were having a water gun fight with each other and didn’t intentionally spray anyone.
12:16 p.m. — Caller from 298 Federal St. reporting some money has gone missing and would like to speak with an officer. Reporting party had $500 stolen from her room, no witnesses, no surveillance video, approximately 20 suspects.
12:27 p.m. — Walk-in would like to speak with an officer regarding swimmers in the Green River.
2:52 p.m. — Caller reports finding a container full of syringes at Hillside Park.
5:07 p.m. — Caller reports his brand-new toolbox and car lift were stolen, sometime since July 4.
11:56 a.m. — Walk-in who lives on Fairview Terrace reporting a dog bite. Already spoke to the animal control officer about the bite. Same reporting neighbor who owns the dog walked into her house afterward, uninvited.
1:51 p.m. — Report of vandalism at 186 Conway St. Landlord reporting tenant moved out and smashed windows in the barn and left trash in the apartment. Back window in barn broken — possibly two weeks ago. House is condemned and tenants have moved out. Landlord advised of his civil options.
2:16 p.m. — Manager at Sandri convenience store at 295 Federal St. stole the tip jar. It is on video. About $55 taken at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday. Surveillance video obtained.
3:29 p.m. — Caller at 28 Oak Courts reports someone is throwing rocks and sticks at her door. She cannot see them and does not know who it may be, but would like officers to respond. Spoke to involved children and parents. Mediated. Located parents, who dealt with the situation.
1:53 p.m. — Walk-in reporting an assault that happened last night.
5:03 p.m. — Caller reporting a car fire on French King Highway. Call transferred to Shelburne Control.
1:53 a.m. — Caller at Oak Courts states that her son and his friends are having a sleepover on the first floor and they looked out the window and saw an older man look in. Only description given was an older man missing a finger. No known direction of travel. Gone on arrival.
2:33 a.m. — Caller reports that someone is sleeping under the Interstate 91 rotary bridge, on the southbound side.
10:37 a.m. — Report of a hypodermic needle at Mill House Apartments.
10:52 a.m. — Paint spill at 1 Wells St. and 1 Allen St. Closed road for clean-up.
1:14 p.m. — Caller at 21 Pray Drive complaining about people “playing tapes” in her apartment building, and would like a call from the chief. She advised that the tapes played conversations between people. Advised that she should speak with the housing authority if she is concerned.
2:53 p.m. — At Applebee’s, two-car crash with fluids. Caller stated he and a passenger may have neck injuries.
9:47 a.m. — Caller at CCE Golf Cars reporting a catalytic converter was stolen off a work truck. Police spoke with the manager on scene. Occurred within the last two days. Advised to contact police with new information.
1:43 p.m. — Caller advises a tree is down blocking the road. Highway superintendent advised.
2:22 p.m. — Caller on East River Street advises there are four kids over at the bandstand, and two of the boys are kicking pieces of the same. Caller states they are throwing them around as well. On arrival, two young men located and spoken with. Both denied any wrongdoing as they stated they were just listening to music. Before clearing, the reporting party showed the officer a video of the two kids kicking out the banisters of the bandstand and trying to hide them underneath. Both male parties to be charged and summonsed for vandalism.
6:59 p.m. — Caller advises that there are three men going up and down her street for hours on mini-motorcycles. Officer spoke to involved parties and educated them about moped/motorized scooter law, which they were not fully aware of.
8:42 p.m. — Caller advises the guys with the “mini bikes” are whizzing by again and they are loud.
12:54 a.m. — Norman McGrath, 51, of Brookside Road, Orange, was arrested for OUI liquor over .08 percent (fourth or greater offense) and operating a motor vehicle with license revoked.
5:05 a.m. — Two loose brown cows on Town Farm Road.
2:35 p.m. — Dynamite found on Wheeler Avenue. Detonated by Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad and ATF.
9:35 p.m. — Fireworks set off from a roof on North Main Street. Parties were spoken to. On foot patrol, heard fireworks coming from the center of town. Four subjects were located. They were advised of the law pertaining to fireworks and said they just finished off the only two they had.
11:30 p.m. — While walking the perimeter of Ralph C. Mahar Regional School, observed a group walking toward the football field with two males yelling back and forth. Upon seeing the officer, all parties spun around and walked away toward Hayden Street. All parties were identified. Two parties were in violation of open container law and had to pour out their beer.
5:49 p.m. — Caller on East Main Street advised he was stabbed in the neck. Reporting party advises the perpetrator is at “Franklin Apts.” Caller denied the need for an ambulance as he said it was a “small puncture.” Reporting party advised he is in front of R Cee’s Pub. Man had two small superficial wounds and denied the need for medical treatment. Caller said he had been fighting with someone. Spoke with reporting party regarding options.
8:55 p.m. — Reporting party called the station as she cannot find her scissors. Caller said nothing else was missing and the house has not been gone through. The reporting party is going to change her locks.
10:19 p.m. — Jim’s Auto requested for a tow on South Main Street. Reporting party advises she heard what sounded like a crash. Police advised of a single-car crash into a guard rail, just south of Johnson Road on South Main Street. Requested the ambulance to respond for possible minor injuries to the operator.
1:46 a.m. — It appears someone smashed the windshield to one of the old cruisers with a rock on East River Street. No other damage was found to other vehicles.
6:19 a.m. — Reporting party into the station to report he had a black workbag stolen out of his truck containing some paperwork and small hand tools. Same stated he did not hear anything throughout the night, vehicle was also unlocked with the window down. Advised to lock the vehicle in the future and if he hears/sees anything suspicious to call.
5:22 p.m. — Caller on Harrison Avenue reporting she had a light socket pop and lost power and she now has smoke coming from the light socket. Same was advised if safe to do so, exit the building. Request to make contact with the electrical inspector. Request power company to the scene. Fire Department conducted investigation.
4:16 a.m. — Report of a tree down, blocking entire North Leverett Road just past the railroad bridge. Advises this is the top half of a large tree. DPW will need a chainsaw to chunk up and remove. DPW tree warden advised. Cleared and removed from road.
11:54 a.m. — Caller reporting her purse was stolen with medications and a cellphone in it this past weekend at Energy Park. No answer on call back. Left message.
1:46 p.m. — Man wearing a hooded sweatshirt (gray or blue) with possibly a Nike symbol on the front, maroon sweatpants, blue boxer briefs with large white stars. Took $100 out of the register at Call’s Corner Store while clerk was away from it by reaching over the counter. Clerk made the suspect give five $20 bills that he took and he left headed down West Street on foot.
2:22 p.m. — Report of a breaking-and-entering at 186 Conway St. Officer to investigate. Someone entered through the back door and stole a laptop between 10 a.m. and time of the call.
2:34 p.m. — Report of a city ordinance violation behind the Rite Aid at 107 Main St. Located two parties who set up a tent on the grass area behind this location. They don’t have permission to camp on the property. They will remove their tent and move on.
7:34 p.m. — Report of a hit-and-run involving a white 2012 Acura SE TL and a brown 2014 Subaru SE Legacy at Federal Street and Bank Row. Jaylenne Angiemar Olan, 32, of Conway Street, Greenfield, was arrested for OUI-liquor (second offense), negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, a marked lanes violations, and failure to use care in starting, stopping, backing or turning.
9:04 p.m. — Reporting party left bullets in the station lobby that her son found while diving in Lake Mattawa. Bullets were secured and logged into property.
11:28 a.m. — Caller advises there is a strong smell of propane inside a building on New Athol Road. Reporting party advises the AC unit is making a hissing noise; unknown if that is the source. Caller advises they have shut off the AC unit. Control advised of a report of propane odor at the location.
8:41 p.m. — Caller requests officer an come to remove some capped-off needles found in the bathroom at Food City. Due to priority calls, an officer was unable to get to the business before closing. Day shift advised.
3:25 a.m. — Caller at 66 Forbes Court reports an accident with injuries. Reporting party states an elderly female in a van ran over her husband’s foot, then left. Transporting to Baystate Franklin Medical Center. Awaiting video to determine if the incident actually took place.
8:22 p.m. — Caller on Sanderson Street reports he was jumped. AMR Ambulance contacted. Montague Police Department has a vehicle with three involved parties, officers en route to speak with the involved. Incident investigated.
8:39 a.m. — Caller advises he was staying with a friend near West River Street. When he got home, he noticed several items missing from his truck including a MacBook Pro. Reporting party was called back and stated that he noticed his laptop and a pocket knife were taken from his vehicle while he was in Orange.
4:36 p.m. — A woman called asking for the animal control officer to take away a dog she no longer wants. Police answered that the animal control officer is not on duty until Monday. The woman called back, and was advised to find a local animal shelter that could take the dog.
5:35 p.m. — Report of a middle-aged couple shoplifting at Walmart — putting a bunch of movies and clothes in the woman’s purse. Melissa Grubb, 48, of Templeton, was arrested for shoplifting by asportation and shoplifting by concealing merchandise, and Mark D. McCartney, 53, of Templeton, was arrested for shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
11:04 p.m. — Caller advises someone is attempting to break into his laundromat on West Main Street. All units responded and caught the suspect inside the building in the act of trying to pry open the depository. Enrique Cintron, 49, of Orange, was arrested for breaking into a depository and possession of a burglarious instrument.
4:43 p.m. — Caller advises a man walking toward Walmart not wearing a shirt has an axe. Unable to locate.
7:53 p.m. — Caller reports seeing three men coming up Garrett Street to Sanderson Street, with one holding what appeared to be a safe. The parties appeared to be originally wearing hooded shirts but two discarded their shirts, one wearing a red shirt, one possibly wearing black shorts. He observed the parties dump the safe under bushes near a tan house and white house across from the tennis courts. Reporting party advised he has a video of the parties. Located involved parties. After further investigation, drugs were discovered in a black backpack. Evidence seized.
5:33 a.m. — A man in a cabin near Stop & Shop on French King Highway reported that a man knocked on his door and threatened to “shoot up the cabin” and kill him if he did not open the door and give up his wallet. The threatening man then went into the woods. Police checked the area. Gone on arrival.
11:08 a.m. — Caller on Turners Falls Road states that someone did some damage to her vehicle overnight.
4:51 p.m. — Walk-in requests to speak to an officer about a contractor that was working for him. Several months into the contract the contractor’s license and registration was revoked and walk-in would like to know if any criminal charges can be filed.
4:41 p.m. — Caller on Chapman Street requesting assistance with disposing of old ammunition that he found while cleaning his basement.
4:50 p.m. — Caller in a Davis Street apartment reports over the past few weeks he suspected someone was entering his apartment, and so he set up a camera inside. Today, caller reports having footage of a man he identified as his landlord’s son entering his apartment. Items missing and damage to property. Spoke with involved parties. They are going to try to work things out on their own.
5:36 p.m. — Verizon tech in the area of Gill and Wunsch roads stated there is a tree blocking the road. He advised he can make a temporary repair and come back tomorrow. Trees across the road; wires down. Verizon on scene. Re-established phone service for the nearby residence but will need DPW to remove several trees in the roadway in the morning.
6:59 p.m. — Caller on Maple Street reports his house was broken into sometime the day before.
2:59 p.m. — 911 caller at 4th and L streets reporting he witnessed a vehicle strike a man on a bicycle. The vehicle kept going. AMR Ambulance, Montague Police Department and Turners Falls Fire Department responding. Officer Jamal Holland advised that the witness stated it was a dark gray or brown Chrysler 200 or 300, unknown plate, headed toward the Gill-Montague bridge. Detective Jacob Lapean advised he will be in the area looking for the vehicle. Holland advised police units are clear, AMR transporting.
12:23 p.m. — Woman walked up to the police chief with a small dog she found running around in traffic on East Main Street. Message left for the animal control officer.
2 p.m. — Call into the station requesting to speak with an officer about a custody issue involving a cat. Spoke with the reporting party and advised her to contact the court.
11:17 a.m. — Child found left in car with it running and heat on. Massachusetts Department of Children & Families contacted. Child turned over to responsible adult. Stephanie S. Sumner, 31, of Maple Street, Greenfield, arrested for reckless endangerment of a child.
1:07 p.m. — Caller would like it logged that his memorial to a friend killed in a motorcycle accident at 428 Deerfield St. and 21 Cheapside St. last year was removed from the sign, including a famed photo, a vase that was zip-tied to the sign and the flowers left in it.
2 p.m. — Report of a hit-and-run accident on Wisdom Way. Caller reporting a black Volkswagen Jetta with plate 6ST655 struck a utility pole and continued on. Damage to front passenger side of the vehicle. Located vehicle at residence. No answer at the door. No damage to city property found.
6:15 p.m. — Two-vehicle crash involving a yellow 2003 Subaru Forester and a gray 2014 Nissan Rogue near Home Depot on the Mohawk Trail. Airbag deployment. One party possible head injury. AMR on scene, also Berkshire Ambulance assisting. Tow requested, Koch’s en route. Byrne’s called for other tow. Command reports one transported by AMR to Baystate Franklin Medical Center. One patient refusal.
5 p.m. — Caller reporting a giant maple tree broke and is across the road on Main Street. Sgt. James Deery advised no electrical wires, only telephone wires. DPW notified.
9:23 p.m. — Caller reporting they were just beat up by a woman and there are several people intoxicated. Received a second phone call and the reporting party stated that they are in the house and the woman just bit them. Officer Justin Moody advised the parties have been separated.
