1:56 p.m. — Caller from Dominos Pizza on Federal Street reports a female walking in and out of traffic; officers sent; the woman, who was almost hit by a car, ran behind a house; after several minutes of searching, she was located, admitted she is off her medications, and she was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

2:23 p.m. — General disturbance reported on Conway Street where the reporting person stated two males are harassing her, and she stated the two males went outside, and at one point started fighting; officers sent, spoke to a known male, and he was advised and then he left without incident.

2:54 p.m. — Staff at Valley Medical Group on Conway Street requesting help with a disorderly patient; units standing by awaiting Medcare for a Section 12; officers assisted with removal and the patient was then transported by Medcare.

4:09 p.m. — Request from the John W. Olver Transit Center on Olive Street that police check on a woman outside the building, who appears intoxicated, and is yelling at people; the female was described as about 60-years-old, with a cane, wearing a beige coat, and has long hair; she was located and advised of the complaint.

4:39 p.m. — Disturbance at Miles and Main streets where an ambulance reports a fight; officers checked the area but no one matching the description, except that a known male said he was assaulted, but advised he doesn’t know who it was, and if he did, he wouldn’t tell the police.

5:44 p.m. — Walk-in at the station reported she was involved in a minor accident, and the other person scammed her for $50; situation investigated.

6:24 p.m. — Unwanted person reported at Rodeway Inn on the Mohawk Trail and officers sent; a guest who has been staying there for three days is now refusing to leave; officers stood by with the known female while she finished packing her belongings and vacated the room; she was escorted, with her property, without issue, to the outside, where she is reportedly waiting for her ride.

6:28 p.m. — Disturbance on Norwood Street where the caller is reporting an argument with the upstairs neighbor, who is now making moves like he is going to let his dog attack her; found to be a neighbor dispute about noise; situation discussed, and both were advised of options; the landlord is now getting involved.

7:09 p.m. — Accident reported at the Interstate 91 rotary, but no injuries reported; a rear end accident; minor damage to both vehicles; office assisted with information exchange; warning issued to the operator of the following car.

7:52 p.m. — Gun call at Dunkin Donuts on the Mohawk Trail where the caller reports a while male, about 45-years-old, with a child in his white Porsche, with New Jersey plates, flashed a handgun at him in the parking lot; a female in a black Mercedes parked next to them stated that the driver of the Porsche was a cop; the male left on River Street toward Mill Street; the reporting person was not at home, and an officer will call back later; and later spoke to the reporting person about concerns.

8:01 p.m. — Request that police check on an older female with no pants on, sitting on an enclosed porch of a vacant house on Elm Street; officer responded, and the female gathered her property and left the area; once ensured that the female had gathered her belongings and left, the first unit entered the unsecured building; they conducted a search of the building, and re-secured it.

8:52 p.m. — Unwanted person reported at Swift Cleaners on Main Street where the caller states the same female has been sleeping in his business for the last week and he would like her removed and moved along; officer moved her along and she was advised not to return.

Montague, May 5

7:20 a.m. — The reporting person says that his unlocked vehicle was broken into overnight; he isn’t at home, but can be reached by phone to speak with an officer; officer advised.

7:29 a.m. — Two calls from Migratory Way reporting a loose dog, a Great Dane, in the area; the ACO was called, and is en route.

Orange, May 5

9:07 a.m. — Caller from Columbia Avenue reports she got a scam call yesterday about 3 p.m. from someone claiming to be from the IRS; they stated they were going to be filing a lawsuit against her unless she paid money; she hung up on them, and wanted it on record.

2:29 p.m. — Caller from Hayden Street reports of a young kid in the area of Clockey Avenue yelling; the youth was spoken with and was sent on his way.

Greenfield, May 6

1:54 a.m. — Officers out at Big Y Foods, subject located, and was given Miranda rights, and taken into custody; arrested was Demain Warner, 41, of Island Pond, Vt., charged with possession of a Class A drug, and three charges of possession of a Class E drug.

2:03 a.m. — Officer checking on a vehicle at Poet’s Seat Tower Road; the vehicle and occupants were moved along and advised of bylaw about nighttime hours.

3:23 a.m. — Officer out on Main Street by Taylor’s Tavern where he reports a vehicle with possible slashed tires; tow truck company advised they are aware of the vehicle and said it will be towed in the morning; a note was left on the car, and the person who left the note had made the bartender at Taylor’s aware of the vehicle being there.

7:53 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported near Elm Terrace on Elm Street, where the caller reports bones found in Foster’s Market grocery bags on the housing authority property while she was out walking her dog this morning; the bones appear to be left over from beef and/or pork; she states these bags have been found in the past, but on the opposite side of the street and the sheriff’s department has gone out to clean them up; the reporting person is concerned the bones will draw wildlife; she requested extra check in the area along Elm Street to possibly identify who is dumping the bags; situation investigated.

Orange, May 6

5:30 a.m. — Control reports a tractor trailer struck a parked vehicle on New Athol Road.

6:45 a.m. — Hazard reported on Moss Brook Road where Control reports a tree down; on officer’s arrival the large tree was unable to be moved, Orange Highway Department was contacted.

10:18 p.m. — Shelburne Control got a call from an East Main Street business that reports a van has been parked in the paring lot for three days, and the management would like it removed; officer located the van and the owner was advised that management didn’t want him sleeping on the property; the involved male left the lot.

9:20 p.m. — The reporting person states her friend was “jumped,” by a known couple of people, and they left the scene; under investigation.

Orange, May 7

2:33 p.m. — Control report from Burrill Avenue that a person in a light colored shirt was in his backyard and playing with his wind chimes; officer spoke with the reporting person who noted the wind chime is now missing; officer located three youths in the area, fitting the description, and who denied being in the back yard of the reporting person; the officer spoke to the mother and guardian of the youths and advised them of the complaint, and the curfew by law.

2:20 p.m. — Caller from Hayden Street would like an officer to respond to the Butterfield Park tennis court for a group of kids trying to take down the nets; on arrival the officer spoke with one youth who was riding a scooter inside of the fenced area; no damage was found to the nets, and he was advised to stay out of the tennis court with his scooter, and the officer showed the youth the clearly post sign that says the same.

9 p.m. — Officer saw a man walking on East Main Street who was known to have a warrant; the officer placed the man in custody; arrested was Bryan Mark Howard, 30, of East Main Street, Orange, on the straight court warrant.

Greenfield, May 8

12:34 p.m. — Accident reported on the Mohawk Trail. Two vehicles involved, but no injuries reported, information was exchanged.

1:46 p.m. — Disturbance reported at CVS on Federal Street to which the officers responded and arrested was Kimberly Ann Hathaway, 27, listed as homeless, of Greenfield, on a warrant.

2:49 p.m. — Caller from Bayberry Court reports two ATVs are in the woods behind this area; caller called back to report there is a child riding on the handlebars, one with no helmet; officer found them gone on arrival, but spoke with residents in the area and they stated that the ATVs weren’t on the roadways or in the parking lots and weren’t causing excessive noise.

3:40 p.m. — Another call about ATVs operating in the Bayberry Court area in the parking lot and woods; found to be Spanish speaking operators; made contact with the people involved and the ATVs were shut off and parked, both males states they did have helmets on when operating the machines; they said they will no longer operate them for the remainder of the evening.
