On Wednesday, Feb. 14, the Greenfield Recorder ran an article about author/illustrator Jeff Mack visiting Erving Elementary School. He gave us a wonderful program that was reflected in the glowing article written by reporter Christie Wisniewski.
Unfortunately, one very important aspect was left out of the article — our sponsors and funding sources. Jeff Mack appeared at each of the four Union 28 elementary schools, and we all would like to publicly thank those who are truly responsible for his appearances: the Erving, Leverett and Shutesbury local cultural councils, the Erving and Shutesbury parent-teacher organizations, the Leverett Elementary School library fund and the New Salem Academy. Our local cultural councils are agencies that are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
