The Northeast Fly Fishers & Outdoor Festival is coming to the Franklin County Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday. Fly Fishers International is the host of the event.
Seminars at the festival will provide information for anyone who is interested in outdoor activities like conservation, whitewater rafting and mountaineering. Fly fishing presentations and demonstrations at the festival will give attendees a chance to learn from experienced instructors and members of the fly-fishing community.
Sessions will cover casting techniques, fly selection, local waters, gear, trip planning and tips for both new and seasoned anglers. There will be live music, beer and a food truck. Camping is available at the Fairgrounds. Bring musical instruments for informal fireside jam sessions after a day at the festival.
Ticket costs are as follows: One-Day ($15), Two-Days ($25), Family/One-Day ($30), Family/Two-Days ($40). Tickets and camping accommodations can be purchased here.
The festivities begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Frontier (juniors) 24, South Hadley 6 — Bodhi Dark, Kyrie Petrizzi-Richmond, Salis Shulda, and Johnny Stanisewski all found the end zone in the win for the Redhawks.
Frontier held an 8-6 lead before pulling away in the second half. Pete Cellucci and Jacob Matuszko helped clear running lanes in the trenches for Frontier.
Ben Griffin and Matt Griffin led the defensive effort. Collin Green and Jayce Robert made their presence felt late in the game
Frontier 19 (pee-wee), South Hadley 8 — The offense and the defense worked as a cohesive unit in the win for the Redhawks. Frontier has now won two straight games to start the season.
