The Defenders defeated the Flyers, 16-1, in Franklin County Softball League play at Murphy Park on Wednesday.
Abigail Moffatt went 1-for-2 with two RBIs, while Addison Talbot collected two doubles and an RBI for the Defenders. Brooke Skowron led the offense with three hits and two RBI.
Shelby Beck added two RBI and struck out one hitter in two innings of work in the circle. Aurora Moynihan also had an RBI for the Defenders.
Chloe Lane had a hit and an RBI for the Flyers.

Fury 5, Menace 4 —The Fury edged the Menace behind a dominant performance in the circle from Alison Kajka. The starting pitcher pitched five innings with nine strikeouts. Kajka didn’t give up a hit in her outing. Rian Farrell, Tianna Moise-Valdez, Ima Jean Louis and Olivia Barrett had hits for the Fury.
Kendra Steiner and Alexis Berry had hits for the Menace. Berry had 10 strikeouts in seven innings of work for the Menace.
Bombers 8, Havoc 5 — The Bombers scored four times in the bottom of the fifth to pull out the win over the Havoc. Kalina Pease and Hannah Shepard had back-to-back inside-the-park home runs for the Havoc. Lexi Hawkins and Kiara Gruszkowski both doubled.
Corinne Charlebois, Alexa Peters and Mackenzie Matthews had RBI for the Bombers. Samantha LaFlesh got the win in the circle with four strikeouts.
Magic 13, Wolfpack 10 — The Magic got past the Wolfpack behind the offense of Arianna Roberts and Kaylee Roberts. Both players had two hits and an RBI in the victory. Abigail Fortier went 2-for-2 with two RBI for the Wolfpack. Kaylee Roberts got the win in the circle with four strikeouts.
Legion Baseball
Greenfield Post 81 (11), Monson Post 241 (1) (five innings) — Evan Tsipenyuk got the win on the mound with eight strikeouts in five innings of work for Greenfield (11-0-1) at Veterans Memorial Field. Conner Bergeron and Shawn Baumann both had two RBI for Greenfield. Luca Siano added two hits including a double.

Registration is now open for the Kells Memorial Junior Tournament on July 15. The event is a two person scramble, players 18-and-under are eligible ($15).
