The Greenfield Recorder compiled All-Stars for girls and boys tennis for the spring season. Coaches input and win/loss records factored into who received recognition.
Girls
Hailey Fernandez/Brooke Charest, Frontier Regional
The No. 1 doubles team dominated its schedule throughout the regular season and into the postseason. Charest and Fernandez went 17-2 on the season and helped the Redhawks win a Western Mass. Class B championship.

Olivia Wolbach, Turners Falls
Wolbach had another impressive season for the Thunder. The sophomore went undefeated at No. 1 singles for Turners Falls. For the season, Wolbach boasted an 11-0 record during team matches.
Amy Mihailicenco, Greenfield
Mihailicenco helped Greenfield to a win in the Division 5 state tournament against David Prouty. The junior was a consistent winner in No. 1 singles for Greenfield. Mihailicenco finished 6-4 on the season.

Kayla Fagan, Frontier Regional
Fagan went 14-5 at No. 2 singles for Frontier. The sophomore was a co-captain and a fiery competitor for the Redhawks.
“She is a consistent player who gets a lot of balls back and thrives in long rallies, Frontier coach Andrew Varnon said. “But moreover, she also is able to probe her opponents for weaknesses in order to make tactical adjustments.”

Fagan picked up a win 6-0, 6-3 win over Samantha Williams of Pope Francis in the Western Mass. Class B championship match.
Boys
Casey Bestler, Frontier Regional
Against difficult competition at No. 1 singles in the Valley Wheel, Bestler compiled a 10-5 season record for the Redhawks.
“He was far and away the best player in our league that comprised all DII and DIII teams,” Frontier coach Brian Campbell said.
Noah Kolodziej, Turners Falls
Kolodziej had a tremendous season at No. 1 singles for the Thunder. The consistency in singles competition helped Turners Falls win a Tri-County league championship.
“His technical improvement, footwork, and fortitude were unequaled,” Turners Falls coach Steve Touloumtzis said.
Kolodziej went 8-0 in league play, with another win against Monument Mountain.
