Baystate Health is going cashless [Baystate Health goes cashless,” Recorder, Nov. 13]. So this means anyone without a credit or debit card will be unable to purchase a meal or even a cup of coffee in the cafeteria?

And what does Baystate offer to those unfortunates who can’t pay virtually and instead need to use Federal Reserve notes guaranteed by the U.S. Treasury? Why, they can call the billing department “to arrange payment via money order.” Are you kidding me? Either accept cash payment or offer the meal and coffee for free.
