Greenfield, MA – Anne Elizabeth Vaughn, 75 of Greenfield MA died peacefully with her longtime partner, Peter, by her side on Monday, May 18, 2026 in Regal care of Greenfield.
Born in Montague, MA on July 15, 1950, Anne was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Anne (Sanicki) Dahowski. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1968.
She had a 30-year career with stop and Shop of Greenfield where she performed many roles. Prior to Stop and Shop she worked as a teller at Greenfield Savings Bank.
One of Anne’s greatest enjoyments in life was the time spent on her many vacations to Wells Beach, Maine with her partner, Peter. In addition to the beach life, she also enjoyed shopping in Maine, especially at Marden’s. She also enjoyed crocheting dish towels, bowling and spending time visiting with neighbors.
Anne is survived by her son, Steven Vaughn, a PGA Golf Pro, of Taunton MA; her loving and devoted partner, Peter Pavone of Greenfield MA; and her brother, Paul Dahowski (Kathleen) of Deerfield MA. In addition, she leaves her beloved dog, Ringo, who added so much joy to her life.
Anne will also be missed by her many friends and neighbors. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Peter Dahowski.
Funeral Services will be private.
The family would like to thank those who cared for Anne so well in her home over the years. They would also like to thank those who gave Anne care during her final days at Regal Care of Greenfield.
