Some of you may have read a recent My Turn by Tim Ballou, owner of World Eye Bookshop about the difficulties of running/maintaining an independent bookshop in Greenfield [“Greenfield small businesses need your support,” Recorder, June 14]. He graciously included other small businesses.
However, his intention was to add to the sales at 134 Main St., not decrease them. World Eye Bookshop has been in business for 54 years and doesn’t intend to go out business. We need you! Having worked at World Eye part time for six years, and having been a patron for almost 54, all I can say is, come buy! Support a local business!
We have toys, stuffies, games, and hey — if we don’t have the book you want, we can order it. Please stop telling people we’re going out of business.
