Erving, MA – Kurt Tyler Prondecki, 40, of Erving, MA, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2025. Born in Greenfield, MA, Kurt was known for his humor, infectious laughter, big heart, charisma, strength, being everyone’s biggest cheerleader, and his unwavering love and dedication to his family and friends.
Kurt’s passion for life was evident in his work and in his hobbies , which included everything from becoming a master captain on Cape Cod and learning how to be a great tuna fisherman to being close to nature in the woods hunting for deer, but most of all, he just enjoyed spending time with his family and being the best dad he could be.
He made a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his life partner, Trish Talley; his son, Jackson Prondecki; his soon-to-be-born son, Jameson; his mother, Madeline Williams; his siblings, Edwin Prondecki, Tonya Perkins, and Jerry Perkins; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was predeceased by his father, Edwin Prondecki.
A celebration of life will be held at The Barn at the Farm Table, Bernardston, MA, on November 29, 2025, at 3:00 pm. Trish kindly asks everyone to dress in warm colors and not in black. We would like to honor him and not mourn him. In lieu of flowers, Kurt would love for everyone to support a cause that meant so much to him-Toys for Tots to help children in need this Christmas.
