Monday, Sept. 15

6:24 a.m. — Reporting party from Baystate Franklin Medical Center on High Street states she has an employee who was assaulted by a patient and would like to press charges. Statement taken to assist in the investigation.

1:11 p.m. — Ralph A. Provost, 67, of Elm Terrace in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant.

3:12 p.m. — Reporting party from Shelburne Road wants to speak to an officer regarding the tractor trailer units that idle for extended periods behind Big Y. Services rendered.

3:40 p.m. — Reporting party walks by a house on Colrain Street weekly and noticed that a package that had been delivered last week is still in the same place. Concerned for the occupants. Spoke with the homeowner through their Ring camera. All OK.

4:46 p.m. — Following a traffic stop near China Gourmet on the Mohawk Trail, Jamie Lee Anadon, 40, of Water Street in Greenfield, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

5:30 p.m. — While an officer was attempting to serve a warrant, the involved party took off through Green Fields Market. Party was detained at the back of the store. Laura A. Brown, 46, of an unknown address in Greenfield, was arrested on two warrants.

8:16 p.m. — Caller from Plantation Circle believes she is being scammed. She has been receiving calls from out-of-state numbers that have been talking to her about her bank accounts. Would like to speak to an officer. No money lost, more concerned with the constant phone calls. Instructed party to block the numbers.

Tuesday, Sept. 16

1:57 a.m. — Reporting party from Chapman Street reports her keys have been stolen and some clothing. Spoke with reporting party and obtained information to assist in an investigation. Reporting party states this has been an ongoing issue.

3:03 p.m. — Reporting party states he saw an older female party standing on her porch on Deerfield Street yelling and shaking an American flag upside down. Female resident stated sometimes an older lady walks around the area and is known to holler. No issues, did locate an upside-down flag hanging from the porch.

Wednesday, Sept. 17

5:08 p.m. — Julie A, Engstrom, 42, of Oak Hill Acres in Greenfield, was arrested on a warrant at Oak Hill Acres.

7:30 p.m. — Caller from Hope Street states four goats followed him home and are at his house. Caller believes they belong to the residents of a blue house down the road. Located owner and she is on her way to retrieve the goats.

10:41 p.m. — Tom Kenneth Rivera, 37, of Springfield, was arrested on a warrant on Riverside Drive in Greenfield.

Thursday, Sept. 18

1:52 a.m. — A traffic stop on the Route 2 bypass resulted in the arrest of Kyle Francis Senecal, 26, of Lincoln, Rhode Island, on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, a motor vehicle lights violation and driving at a rate of speed exceeding the posted limit.

11:44 a.m. — Report of a van with two occupants who appeared to be stealing metal from a dumpster on Colrain Road and appeared to be inebriated. Unable to locate.

12:09 p.m. — Report of an ordinance violation on Nash’s Mill Road. Caller reports there is a camper and truck at this location and she has noticed a lot of litter. Caller speculates it is coming from the occupant of the camper. Spoke to a party who will be picking up the trash. States they are not the ones making the mess but, out of courtesy, they will clean it up.

6:37 p.m. — Frankie James Sorey, 41, of Kenwood Street in Greenfield, was arrested following a traffic stop on Allen Street on a charge of sex offender failing to register (subsequent offense).

8:39 p.m. — Report of an ordinance violation at Rite Aid on Main Street. Reports of open containers. Summer Rain Smith, 28, of Memorial Drive in Orange, and Vern Nicholas Archer, 54, homeless of Greenfield, were both arrested on a charge of open container/drinking alcohol in public.

Friday, Sept. 19

8:04 a.m. — Reporting party states three people are sleeping in the middle of the pathway behind the tennis courts and near the bridge and pond at Highland Park. Parties were moved along.

11:01 a.m. — Reporting party states there is a suspicious item on the Interstate 91 overpass on Leyden Road. Reporting party described the object as the size of a washing machine. Officer reporting it is in fact a washing machine and the Department of Public Works is aware. DPW was advised again.

Saturday, Sept. 20

7:38 a.m. — A disturbance reported on Main Street resulted in the arrest of Michael Murphy, 36, of Wells Street in Greenfield, on charges of disorderly conduct and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Also arrested was Eric R. Bell, 36, homeless of Greenfield, on charges of disorderly conduct (subsequent offense) and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

5:19 p.m. — Reporting party reports a Home Depot rental box truck took a left out of the parking lot going up the Mohawk Trail with the back of the truck open and items falling out. Shelburne Police located the vehicle. They were advised of a cabinet that had fallen on the island in front of Home Depot.

Sunday, Sept. 21

11:34 p.m. — Store employee from Lipton Mart on the Mohawk Trail states there has been someone in their vehicle for approximately 30 minutes. Officer states the driver is going through a hard time at home and pulled over to text, will be moving along shortly.
