9:17 a.m. — Reporting party from Oakman Street states two dogs at a neighboring property are very aggressive and have gone after people walking by multiple times. It just happened again. Reporting party was given the number for the animal control officer.

6:47 p.m. — Caller on I Street states a powerline came down and it caught some brush on fire. Multiple callers report a transformer blew. Eversource and Fire Department contacted.

Tuesday, July 8

3:22 p.m. — Reporting party from Swamp Road states that every day for the last couple weeks there has been a man in a light blue sedan (possibly a Toyota Corolla) with Florida plates parking on the road, sitting in his car and slowly following people. He has been parked since this morning when she left and is still there upon returning home. Officer advised. Officer checked the area, unable to locate.

8:50 p.m. — Reporting party on Third Street states there is someone digging through the trash bins, throwing trash all over the place. Green bin at the entrance to the apartment building. Officer advising a male party is collecting cans. There is not trash outside the bins.

Wednesday, July 9

1:05 p.m. — Reporting party states he was just involved in a fender bender near the intersection of Third Street and Avenue A. No injuries, no fluids. Officers advised.

6:20 p.m. — Tree down on Old Greenfield Road. Blocking the road, as well as one or two houses. Department of Public Works contacted. Homeowner to make a path with a chainsaw prior to DPW’s arrival.

Thursday, July 10

2:07 a.m. — Caller from Third Street reports a female party was in the hallway downstairs causing a commotion. Reporting party advised the female may have heard him speaking to police and may have headed back upstairs. Officer unable to make contact with the female. Contact was made with the reporting party who was advised of his options and to contact his landlord.

5:03 p.m. — Joshua Estrada, 31, of Third Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on two default warrants.

Friday, July 11

9:34 a.m. — Caller from K Street reports online debit card fraud in the amount of $2,500. One transaction was declined, another went through. Was told she needs a police report for the bank. Caller was advised of options. Report taken.

2:30 p.m. — Reporting party from Grand Avenue states there is a large black bear on her deck and earlier there was a cub on her deck. Reporting party was advised animal control will be contacted.

4:21 p.m. — Reporting party from Wentworth Avenue reports the rear license plate was stolen off his vehicle, would like to speak to an officer. Officers advised the reporting party to contact the Registry of Motor Vehicles and police will provide a report.

Saturday, July 12

1:50 p.m. — Multiple callers report a baby llama is walking around in the road on Wendell Road. Unknown who the owner is. Llama is now in the woods out of the road. Shelburne Control Dispatch Center located the owner. Helped the owner wrangle the llama up to the road and toward the farm.

3:43 p.m. — Reporting party states while riding her bike in the area of Walnut Street and Montague City Road she encountered a bear. Caller wanted it documented as she is having a bear problem around her home in Greenfield, too.

6:58 p.m. — Reporting party from Mormon Hollow Road states there is an alpaca in her backyard. Tan with a long neck. Contacted the animal control officer and left a message.

Sunday, July 13

12:05 a.m. — Caller reports roughly four sheep are in the roadway on Federal Street. Caller is concerned a driver may strike them. Officer advises the sheep were located near Hunting Hills, attempting to get them out of the road. Owner is coming to get them.

3:51 p.m. — Reporting party states he was threatened with two baseball bats by another male party driving a green Subaru. Officer spoke with both parties, issue seems to have happened in Greenfield. Both parties were advised of their options and to avoid contact.
