I agree with Mr. Becker’s view of the present situation at the Pioneer Valley Regional School.
The school budget is such a predicament that can only be attributed to poor oversight of the present school committee and careless spending. The mere fact of a $300,000 lunch money deficit did not happen overnight but passed on from one year to the next hoping that it would somehow go away unnoticed.
Yes, Mr. Becker, it is time for new blood in the school committee. The current core group has held positions for more than three, yes three decades. It’s time for fresh faces and new financial ideas.
