CONWAY — The local historical society will host “Conway in Context: 18,000 Years of Conway History,” Tuesday, a talk exploring changes in the region.
“Jeremy V.P. Rogers will draw upon his in-depth study of the history of Deerfield and its environs, in particular, Conway,” says a news statement about the event. “His talk will include discussion of the evolution of the landscape; the experiences of early pioneers and the well-organized tribal societies that the English first encountered.”
The talk will be held Tuesday starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Conway Historical Society Museum at 50 Main St. Refreshments will be served.
According to the announcement, “Rogers teaches humanities, world history and psychology at Frontier Regional School in Deerfield. He holds degrees in anthropology, special education and counseling.”
