Greenfield, Nov. 29

1:56 p.m. — Caller from Main Street reports she lost her ziplock bag that has all her IDs and loose money; services rendered.

3:43 p.m. — Fire alarm activation from Greenfield Community College in the east building, Fire Department was notified; spoke to security there, who advised this is a burned sticky buns in the east building, and they have a Security Officer en route.

4:40 p.m. — Accident reported at Wells and Grove streets, two vehicles involved, both pulled to the side, situation investigated.

5:44 p.m. — Caller from the YMCA made one call for two-car accident; the caller stated he is at the Y, but struck a parked vehicle due to his defroster wasn’t working properly; the caller was advised that officers were en route, and he should go out and speak with them.

9:46 p.m. — Reporting person says there is a fight in progress involving six to eight people, the caller is no longer on the scene, and is unable to provide further information; second caller reports a fight involving three people, two males and one female, and believed it was physical, he believes they were white but no further description. Anonymous cell caller, reporting a large fight, and could provide no information at all, except it was at least four people; officer checked the area and was unable to locate another involved person; investigation found that it appears an a man (named) got into an altercation over a female, amongst friends; other people left the area but were able to get their information.

10:33 p.m. — Disturbance reported on Chapman Court where the caller could can hear a lot of smashing of things, and a little bit of yelling from the second floor left apartment, unknown if this is a domestic or a fight; officers found no disturbance, occupants were playing with a child.

11:37 p.m. — Officer called that he had received a report that a male was attempting to break into cars at the Wilson’s parking lot, and was described as a male with shaggy hair walking toward The Grapvine; then there came a report of malicious destruction to property at this location; officer found three vehicles with damage to their windows; while on this call, another reporting person called in reporting he found his father’s vehicle with a “boulder” through the side window; officer then had a person under arrest and that a Miranda warning was issued; dispatch then received a report of a male smashing windows and/or breaking into vehicles at Wilson’s lot; the reporting person identified the suspects and discovered multiple cars had been vandalized. Also received a call from the Art’s Block who advised a rock had been thrown through another car window at that location; after subsequent investigation the man placed under arrest was Jameson J. Bednarski, 29, of Dell Street, Turners Falls, charge with four charges of vandalizing property with defacement of real or personal property, and then on charges of disorderly conduct, subsequent offense, and disturbing the peace.

Montague, Nov. 29

5:37 p.m. — A 911 caller from Central Street; sounds like three to five people disturbance; unknown weapons and caller reports no injuries; but there are children on the scene; three officers responded; no result listed on the log; incident number was requested.

6:53 p.m. — Walk-in states that a male just broke the rules of a harassment order that is in place. Pertaining to this call there will be a probable cause for arrest for violation of harassment order for the male; Greenfield Police were advised of the wanted male they have logged; no resolution on the log.

11:39 p.m. — Accident reported on Montague City Road where a male caller reported a single motor vehicle versus a pole; one female occupant reporting injuries to the reporting person who states lines are low hanging from pole to house; officer, Fire Department and Medcare were all advised and en route. Tow truck also en route, and Turners Falls Fire Department advises the patient is with Medcare, and the department is standing by for the tow truck; Eversource on scene, and barricades requested from the DPW to close Montage City Road at the intersection of Walnut Street and intersection of Turnpike road. All units cleared at Nov. 30 at 12:47 a.m.
