WENDELL — The Wendell Cultural Council is promoting a free concert to do its part to encourage peace on Earth this Christmas season.
Titled “Divine Wood,” the free concert will offer original New Age instrumentals, followed by classic Christmas carols arranged by Hadley musician LA Wood. The concert, slated for Wendell Town Hall from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, will be re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather.
Battery-operated peace candles will be provided to the first 25 attendees. Wood will be joined by musicians Chris Devine and Karen Copeland.
Wood is in pre-production of several music projects, including collaborating with Danny Lynn of www.TikiRadio.com.
Devine is a professional musician whose compositions and performances have been aired on PBS, The Weather Channel, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. Copeland is Wendell’s resident percussionist who gives private and group instruction to after-school children’s educational programs in various districts throughout western Massachusetts.
