Marcus Sanders scored 11 points Saturday and Turners Falls captured the Grades 7 and 8 Suburban League Blue-Green Division title with a 43-40 victory over South Hadley during the title game in Westfield.

Jon Fritz finished with 7 points in the win. Bailey Young added 6.

Tigers results

Karma Phillips swept first place across the board in the Xcel Gold Division as the Greenfield Tumbling Tigers competed against the Westfield YMCA in a gymnastics meet over the weekend.

Phillips won the beam (8.5), bars (8.4), floor (9.4), vault (8.85) and all-around (35.15).

In the Level 4 Division, Lanie Bowse won the bars (7.6), placed second on the beam (8.8) and the all-around (33.35), and was third on the vault and the floor. Josie Cloutier finished third on the beam.

At Level 3, Kiarah Pinkham came in second on the floor (9.15), vault (8.65) and all-around (33.55), while taking third on the beam and bars in the 9-and-under division. Lindsey Taylor placed second on the beam (8.2), and third on floor, vault and all-around. In the age 10 division, Grace Fisher won the beam (9.1), floor (9.45), vault (8.7) and all-around (34.9), and placed second on the bars (7.65). In the ages 11-and-over division, Tatum Morse won the floor (9.3), placed second on the vault (8.85) and all-around (35.20), and was third on the bars. Julie Perez placed third on the floor and vault.

In Level 2, Maeve Noble placed second on the beam (8.8), and was third on the bars, vault and all-around at ages 8-and-under. Lydia Seaman-MacMunn was second on the bars (7.3) and third on the floor. In the ages 9-and-over division, Haylee Tuttle won the beam (9.1), placed second on the vault (8.55), and was third on floor and all-around.

In Xcel Silver, Aneesa Brewer was second on the beam (8.8), and third on the floor.

Youth hockey

Snow & Sons fall

Matt Provencal scored twice Sunday but Franklin County Hockey Association Snow & Sons suffered a 7-5 loss to Nonotuck Knights in a Greater Springfield League hockey game at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield.

Derek Lenois had a goal and an assist in the season-finale for Snows, and Hunter Haughey and Camden Hebert each added a goal. Jake Croteau and Kameron Tompkins each chipped in an assist.

Hannah Roche, Cooper Barton and MJ Paulin each played well. Goalie Trevor Parkinson stopped 20 shots.

High schools

Softball umps needed

The Hampshire/Franklin Softball Umpires Association is looking for umpires for the upcoming season.

A training class will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Frontier Regional School in South Deerfield for anyone interested. The cost of the class and membership is $70, and prospective officials will be required to pass round check in order to officiate.
