3:14 p.m. — Hazard reporting on Lincoln Street where a caller says a large branch is hanging over the sidewalk, but not on any wires; officer found the branch wasn’t a hazard, and was on homeowner’s property.
3:51 p.m. — Report of a man who is in the backyard of a Wells Street residence and acting strangely; officer found the man napping, standing up, and was moved along, and advised of the complaint; the intoxicated male was sent back to his current residence at the shelter on Wells Street.
5:41 p.m. — Accident near the BRW Electronic on the Mohawk Trail, two vehicles involved, but no injuries reported; the involved operator left a note with contact information; officer just verified the information and nothing else was needed.
7:41 p.m. — Hazardous condition on Cheapside Street where a tree is hanging over the road; fire command advises the tree is over the road, but not on wires; DPW needs to respond; then DPW was on the scene and the road was closed while the DPW removed the hazard.
7:43 p.m. — Larceny reported on Union Street where the caller says somebody stole some of his belongings from a porch; officer was diverted to a domestic call at Riverside Drive, and will speak with the reporting person from this call tomorrow.
9:21 p.m. — Caller from Elm Street reports a known male is trying to break into the front porch; officer sent, state police to assist; found people on a screened in porch, and they were moved along and advised not to return.
9:28 p.m. — Report of an incident involving a runaway from Forbes Court; officer to investigate, and learned that a 13-year-old left the house after pretending to go to bed; officer located the youth at the F.L. Roberts gas station and store on Main Street, and learned he ran from home due to being told he wasn’t allowed to go outside and play after dark with some of the other kids in the area; he was transported back to his house, and agreed that he wouldn’t run away again.
10:06 p.m. — Report of a disturbance at a Wells Street residence, where the caller reports people yelling; Greenfield Police units unavailable due to call volume; state police sending two units to handle the call; officer from here spoke with the troopers after clearing from another call, and they stated that it was more of a noise complaint between different tenants in the building.
11:12 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at Park and Franklin streets where a caller says there is a gray car on the corner there, with two people in the vehicle smoking marijuana and possibly snorting something, but the reporting person is unable to see a plate; units were advised and did find two adults smoking a small amount of marijuana, but nothing criminal found; they live down the street, and just returned home; a small amount of Class D drug was found.
9:42 a.m. — Report from Fairway Avenue of a large bear in the area; caller was advised to keep pets inside, and to warn neighbors, if possible; officer to check the area.
9:58 p.m. — Alarm going off in an apartment building on Avenue A, and a second caller from the building reports a smoke detector on the third floor is going off, and the reporting person believes it is due to cooking in one of the apartments; Turners Falls Fire Department responding.
4:08 p.m. — Shelburne Control took a report of an open door on a house on Prospect Street; officer responded and found glass pane to the door was smashed; interior was checked and no one located inside; this is a bank-owned property; officer attempted to call the number, and it just kept ringing.
4:25 p.m. — Control reports Orange Fire Department responding for a possible chimney fire on Daniel Shays Highway; officer to check and found the fire department was all set.
5:38 p.m. — Officer on West Orange Road saw two recreational vehicles driving on the public way; as the officer was turning around, the two ATVs took off, speeding westbound at speeds about 70 mph, and the ATVs continued into woods near the cemetery, with the officer attempting to stop on foot; both ATVs, with operators, were located about 1.2 miles into the woods; they will be cited, and summoned to court.
4:24 a.m. — Despondent person reported on Bradford Drive where the reporting person states his roommate left this location about 20 minutes ago after posting on Facebook a message that seemed to read like a suicide note; he was apologizing to several people for several things and that it was now the end; the reporting person states he has made statements in the past but has never done anything to harm himself; he has no access to a vehicle and doesn’t own a cell phone; officers then located the male walking on Cheapside Street; the officer called Baystate Franklin Medical Center to register him and he was then transported to the hospital under a Section 12 process.
6:36 a.m. — Report that the male brought in on a Section 12 had fled from the hospital wearing black pants and a tan tank top; the male was caught by security, and returned to the hospital.
10:10 a.m. — Accident at Church and Federal streets, two vehicles involved; found by an officer to be very minor damage, information was exchanged.
1:34 a.m. — Unwanted person reported at the F.L. Roberts gas station and store on Third Street, where the caller requests an officer for a female being belligerent and refusing to leave the store; a female, blond hair, with gray jacket, dark pants, and a blue duffel bag; officers sent and the woman will be summoned to court.
2:36 a.m. — Female caller from an apartment in a building on Avenue A reports screaming and fighting in another apartment; officer spoke with the tenants in the involved apartment, and they said they were having a verbal argument about money, and they were advised of the complaint.
10:10 a.m. — Caller from area of 7th and L streets reports a fox that is foaming at the mouth in the roadway near this location; the ACO was notified, and is en route; he checked the area, but with negative result, and checked again later in the day, and still no sign of the fox.
1:38 p.m. — Officer wanted on Park Street where the reporting person is requesting police to remove a male who has been a roommate for some time; the reporting person advised the male was invited into the apartment, to live, by her ex-boyfriend, who no longer lives here; she said he isn’t on the lease and the landlord doesn’t want him here; officer spoke to the reporting person, and she was advised of options.
2:04 p.m. — Reporting person from Park Street says he was threatened by a female he believes to be the grandmother of one of the children that resides in his apartment; he said the person is inside the apartment at this time, and he is outside; he reports she stated to him that she would have “gang members” come after him, and he would “leave with broken legs.” Nothing physical reported, and the caller was advised to wait down the street for officers to arrive; officer advised all those involved, and a friend of the reporting person picked him up, and he will be leaving for an hour to cool off; he was advised to call back with any further issues.
6:25 p.m. — Caller from area of Unity and Park streets advising two young boys, about four-years-old, on tricycles near this location; the reporting person didn’t see any adults in the area, and she is concerned for the children’s safety; patrol units advised, and one officer found the children were on the sidewalk, riding their bikes; another officer spoke with the grandmother, who stated she also just told the children to stay in the driveway.
6:50 p.m. — Unwanted person reported at Turners Falls Road location where the reporting person is advising a male is refusing to leave her apartment; officers sent, and the male will be summoned to court.
10:38 p.m. — Caller reports they just struck a deer, near the Millers Falls Rod and Gun Club on Turners Falls Road, but no injuries reported; there is some damage to the vehicle, but the deer ran off. Officer located the deer off the side of the road; the operator of the vehicle requested to keep the deer; he was allowed, and is to advise the Environmental Police as well. Later, the deer and debris had been removed from the road.
8:15 a.m. — Foreman of a construction project on Dukakis Drive reports about 300 pieces of rebar were stolen sometime since Friday afternoon; report taken.
10:20 a.m. — Control got a call of a black bear that just crossed over Second Street and is heading toward Mahar Regional High School; officer sent, and said a bear was in the wooded area off of South Main Street; environmental police were notified, and responded, and it is believed that the bear has moved on.
6:85 p.m. — Reporting person in the lobby of the station with an item that fell from the roof of an East Main Street building; officer responded and found it to be a piece of roof; officer called a local person, who will call the owner of the building and advise him of the situation.
2:18 a.m. — Welfare check requested at the Valero station on the Mohawk Trail where officer states the male is most likely long-gone; state police were advised the vehicle was headed up the trail; the rep states that he believes the male is intoxicated; the male was loud and the reporting person could smell an odor of alcohol, and he didn’t seem steady on his feet; description given as was a plate number; officer spoke with a trooper in the area, but the male was gone on arrival of police.
11:18 a.m. — Welfare check requested at Home Depot on the Mohawk Trail where the fire department states a passerby advised them of a female who is slumped over the wheel, in a white Toyota Tercel, with New Hampshire plates; they advised she has been there since last night; found to be a homeless female, sleeping; she didn’t wish for any police assistance, but information for the homeless shelter was given.
11:24 a.m. — Report of a lost and found property at the station where a postal service employee dropped off a wallet found in a mail box, but no phone number available in the wallet.
12 p.m. — Report that a black 2003 Ford F150 has been repossessed on the Mohawk Trail at Big Y Foods.
12:41 p.m. — Larceny reported at Main Street and Fiske Avenue where the reporting person would like to speak with an officer about his girlfriend taking his debit card out of his wallet and threatening to spend all his money. Services rendered.
1:19 p.m. — Officer at the temporary courthouse on Munson Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Stephen Jay Hall II, 26, listed as homeless, of Greenfield, on the warrant.
1:29 p.m. — Report of a lost and found property on Munson Street, a black zipper wallet, with Apple sticker attached.
2:31 p.m. — Report of a runaway from Victory House on Conway Street, a 16-yeard-old left on foot without permission, and is upset over discipline; no threats made and not feared to be endanger; a five-foot-six, clean cut, short brown hair, long capris type shorts, gray sweatshirt; entered into national alert system.
4:05 p.m. — Caller from French King Highway where the caller says her 14-year-old son kicked her vehicle and left on foot because he is upset about his cell phone being taken away; wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray shorts; the mother stated that if he is found, she only wanted the police to “scare” him into not breaking her things anymore; mother said her son walks away fairly regularly after getting into an argument, and usually makes his way home later.
5:26 p.m. — Breaking and entering reported at Russell Street where the reporting person and homeowner met with officers, and found four exterior doors open; this is a duplex; several additional signs of a break-in, such as items moved from inside to outside, but undamaged by weather, and also found the interior to be disheveled, drawers were rummaged through and papers strewn about the house, with about $2,000 to $3,000 cash missing; pill bottles were emptied and scattered across the bedroom floor; both buildings were properly secured.
6:40 p.m. — Runaway reported on Eunice Williams Drive where a boy, 11-years-old, tall and thin, wearing a green Celtics shirt and gray shorts, became upset with a parent, and walked away about an hour ago while at the covered bridge; officer checked and located the boy running down Davis Street; he was returned home and spoken to about his behavior.
8:08 p.m. — Despondent person reported at the Key Starr Program on Park Street where a Section 12 was received from Crisis Services, and the youth was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
10:04 p.m. — Despondent person reported on Devens Street where the caller reports a male has been drinking after an argument, and threatened to cut himself, and kill himself; he has a history of cutting; caller advises there are three children sleeping in the apartment as well; officers sent and the male was complaint, and went the Medcare to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, under a Section 12 process.
10:16 p.m. — Caller from Conway Street reports a female screaming for help behind a residence there; officers located known male and female who claimed to be friends who were, they said, “Just messing around.” There were no signs of injury, and both denied any police involvement needed: some intoxication was involved.
10:51 p.m. — An overdose was reported at the Day’s Inn on Colrain Road with the call transferred to MedCare, fire department, and police were dispatched; the known female was placed in handcuffs, and assisted Medcare in restraining her to the stretcher, and an officer rode with the ambulance to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
12:01 a.m. — Female caller from Davis Street report a bear and cub crossed the street in the area of the residence; no police services needed, but patrol units were advised; one officer advises they checked the area, but were unable to locate the bear.
5:44 a.m. — General disturbance on Fourth Street where the female caller reports an irate male in the second floor hallway of the building; the caller states this has been occurring for hours; officers en route and on scene where there is furniture in the roadway, and on the lawn; the male involved has been advised to leave the residence.
7:37 a.m. — A detail officer requesting a marked unit for a male riding an ATV on a public way at Randall Road, but no identification of the person involved; officer spoke to the person involved, and he was advised of the proper rules for the road and ATVs.
8:05 a.m. — Officer en route to training session in Amherst came upon a two car accident, but determined it to be minor damage, and no injuries reported; call information was given to Amherst police.
12:20 p.m. — Caller from K Street reports she was assaulted by a male and said she had given this man’s mother transportation this morning, and claims that while the female was in the van, that she had stolen $30 from the console of the vehicle; the caller stated that she confronted the female, while the son was present, and there was some kind of argument, and the male approached the caller and slapped her across the face; the reporting person declined medical attention, but did say that she had a heart condition; she was at a neighbor’s place near where this incident occurred; officer spoke with the reporting person and she was given a statement form to fill out, and the officer is on the way to make contact on K Street for the other people involved. Under investigation.
12:35 p.m. — Caller from Green Pond Road reports there has been a bear in his neighborhood today, but then left toward the wooded area, and is no longer in sight; he was advised of options.
2:17 p.m. — Caller from Avenue A reports that across from Black Cow Burger Bar there is water gushing out of one of the planters; water department notified.
4:36 p.m. — A reporting person requests to speak with an officer regarding a neighbor who has come onto her porch, damaged plants, and taken items; she states the person has taken about a dozen candles and candle holders; she said the woman involved lives on Church Street, and she was witnessed today around 10 a.m., and had done the same last week, while the reporting person was away; but there are no witnesses to that. Officer to meet with the reporting person on Church Street.
6:19 p.m. — Officer in cruiser came upon a possible fender-bender, and found the people involved are taking care of things themselves, the officer advised it was very minor damage involved.
7:54 p.m. — Loud noise disturbance reported on 3rd Street by a caller who believes the loud music was coming from the apartment building there, and stated their windows are open, and had had music blaring for quite some time; on officer’s arrival, he stated the music does appear to be coming from the third floor; contact was made with the residents there, and they were advised to keep the music down.
8:36 p.m. — Report from Avenue A near the Turners Falls Pizza House about a fight in front of the store; caller stated three or four people were involved; the reporting person states somebody had told her to call the cops, and that there was a gun seen; the reporting person didn’t see the gun, and officer checking with three males in front of the Pizza House in area of L street, and the alley way; officers checking the whole area, but no sign of a person with a gun, although the male was one of the involved persons, and was also possibly the one with the gun; the reporting person’s boyfriend stated he witnessed the gun.
10:23 p.m. — Officer wanted on L Street where the caller advised he had an accidental discharge of his firearm; he stated he had cleaned the gun and had been going to put the safety on, and secure the same, when this occurred; the reporting person isn’t injured in any way; the reporting person does have a valid License to Carry and three registered firearms; officer checking.
1:40 p.m. — Shelburne Control advised they got a call of two males outside on West Main Street, arguing with the owner, and believed there is a weapon involved; on officer’s arrival all people were separated and frisked; no weapons found, and after an investigation it was found to be verbal only, they were all sent on their way.
4:45 p.m. — Control took a report of six people walking on the tracks by Water Street; officer responded, but they were gone on arrival
4:52 p.m. — Officer wanted on East Main Street after a walk-in reports she accidentally locked herself out of the house; officer responded and entry was made via a window.
5:21 p.m. — Control reports the fire department is responding to Roche Avenue for a brush fire; officer sent, and the fire department is handling.
8:41 p.m. — Unwanted person reported at King Street where the caller states she wants her boyfriend removed; they have been arguing; on arrival the situation was discussed, and the male left for the night.
4:49 a.m. — Welfare check at McDonald’s on Federal Street where the caller reports an older gentleman is sitting outside of the business complaining that his PCA workers aren’t treating him right; officer sent, and the male was taken to Clinical and Support Options on High Street, only to find no beds were available at the High Street location; the man was then transported to his address on Grader Lane.
7:59 a.m. — Accident reported at Garfield and Davis streets, a car and a truck, a DPW truck was involved; accident investigated, one vehicle towed, and report issued; no injuries mentioned on the log.
8:49 a.m. — Malicious destruction of property reported on Devens Street where the reporting person says the incident was involving thrown pieces of pavement; vehicle was damaged and a window broken; officer called the owner, and she said her vehicle was dented/scraped by a piece of broken pavement that was thrown at the property between 8 last night and 7 this morning. Other things were damaged that belong to her neighbor/landlord; the reporting person was advised they must make a report. She will be at work until mid evening, and will come by the station then for photos of her vehicle.
11:49 a.m. — Disturbance on Silver Street where a detail officer states a male just attacked him and is out of control; the ARC staff is requesting a check of a client; officer in the ambulance with the crew and patient, for a Section 12 process; officer spoke with the staff at ARC, who advised the involved male was verbally assaultive and posturing with the staff, threatening to hit them.
12:39 a.m. — Caller from Old Sunderland Road where the male said his estranged wife called him and reported her boyfriend kicked her out of his home, and kept her dog in the house; the reporting person called back and updated that the dog was given back to her.
1:10 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported at the Eversource fencing on Farren Avenue, where the officer found the lock on the gate was not secured properly, and he secured it as best possible, until the morning.
1:34 a.m. — Officer reports two suspicious vehicles in the employee parking lot at Sheffield Elementary School; the registered owners of the vehicles were located and advised to move on.
12 a.m. — Control got a call from a person stating that someone recently broke into his apartment, and stole his laptop and PlayStation 3; report taken.
1:50 a.m. — Control advised they got a call from East Main Street that the caller can hear a male and female outside arguing; on arrival it was found to be a verbal argument and the caller wanted the other person out of the house; peace was temporarily restored.
4:12 p.m. — Shelburne Control reports a person on Hayden Street would like an officer regarding a property she rents; officer spoke with her and she explained how she gave some tenants 30 days notice to move out, and they haven’t turned the place over to her; officer spoke with the reporting person regarding options.
7:36 p.m. — Shelburne Control took a report of a male on the ground on South Main Street who is bleeding and was assaulted; both units responded and the male was transported to Athol Memorial Hospital by Orange Ambulance; officer spoke with the man who didn’t remember being punched; spoke with the bartender there and other patrons who explained how it appeared to happen; the victim was advised to contact police when he gets released from the hospital if he is interested in pressing charges.
8:15 p.m. — Officer was flagged over on East River Street by a person reporting a building there had been filling up with smoke, from the hot water heaters; Orange Fire Department was contacted, and responded.; it was referred to another agency.
1:32 p.m. — A caller reported that they found a woman rolling around on Colrain Road. They picked her up and a male who was with her. They were both intoxicated. The woman jumped from the car near the rotary by Greenfield Community College. They pulled over and the man got out of the car. Both started walking toward Davenports. Police located both parties and provided courtesy transport.
2:09 p.m. — Disturbance reported on Deerfield Street where the 911 caller reports he is hiding in the back yard due to people wanting to assault him; investigation leads to arrest of Raymond Joseph Lopez, 21, of Marshall Street, Turners Falls, on a warrant, and charged with assault and battery on a family or household member.
2:33 p.m. — Officers assisted a female on the northbound lane of Route 91, near Exit 27, where they learned she got lost in woods and walked out to Route 91 around mile marker 49; she was given a ride back to a familiar location.
4:32 p.m. — Caller, who couldn’t be determined for location, said she believes the moving company she used to move from Greenfield to Florida has stolen her birth certificate; attempted to call back, but there was no answer, and couldn’t locate.
4;38 p.m. — Caller from near the railroad underpass on Country Club Road reports a white sedan with a female driver just went under this bridge and broke some glass, and she said the vehicle is headed south; officer found a small amount of glass in the roadway, and it was removed.
4:40 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported at the Big Y Foods parking lot where the caller says several teens with backpacks were looking into the vehicles there; officer searched the lot, but was unable to locate them.
5:27 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported by the Patriot Care facility on Legion Avenue where the reporting person says three people just walked behind this location, and the building is closed at this time; officer located three people on the back steps; nothing unusual found; they were smoking cigarettes.
5:38 p.m. — Caller from Newton Street where the caller states her vehicle was damaged in the car wash there; the reporting person was given a incident form from Golden Nozzle, which she completed, and she also was given the managers information to follow up.
6 p.m. — A 911 caller from willow Street reports being verbally harassed and threatened by a neighbor; an ongoing issue; officers sent, and found it to be an on going neighborhood dispute of the last few weeks; today the reporting person approached neighbor’s kids, to complain about items leaning on his fences; the neighbor is upset the kids were approached; options were given to both people, and peace was restored.
9:37 p.m. — Report of skateboarders at the Family Dollar Store are refusing to leave; officer spoke with a store employee. The skateboarders were gone on arrival of police.
10:12 p.m. — Malicious destruction of property, reported at Day’s Inn on Colrain Road, where the investigating officer found an 18-wheeler knocked over the hotel mailbox; officer assisted with information exchange.
9:08 a.m. — Report of a female in the street on Bernardston Road yelling at cars; officer found the female to be moved along again, headed north.
9:58 a.m. — Caller from Central Street reports that someone illegally dumped a copier on the tree belt in front of the service center house on the street; the reporting person is a member of the staff, and advised no one in the house saw who dumped the copier; officer advised.
10:40 a.m. — Hit and run accident reported at Lake Pleasant Road and Walcott Street; but no known injuries; the reporting person didn’t witness the accident, but was told by another bystander that the vehicle was white, but unknown make or model, or plate number; the vehicle struck a pole and a fence, and left parts of it’s fender and lights behind at the scene. BOLO issued and on arrival an officer confirmed the pole wasn’t struck, as the vehicle had only come close to the pole, but did strike a sign; investigation leads to a summons being issued.
12:37 p.m. — Report of a mangy-looking fox about 35 feet from the reporting person’s property on Fairway Lane; delayed response due to call volume; but officer then checked the area and over the embankment, and was unable to locate the fox.
12:46 p.m. — Report of larceny at Unity Park on 1st Street where the reporting person was calling on behalf of his friend, whose phone was stolen while they were at the park; the person whose phone was stolen didn’t want to speak with an officer at first, but later said she would, and may have a suspect; the officer will be contacting Parks and Recreation on Monday to review surveillance footage.
2:58 p.m. — Caller from area of Montague City Road and Walnut Street reports the possibility of a coyote in the area, and was seen running across the street into the bushes and woods; officer advised.
9:25 p.m. — Reporting person advising of a fight behind the Rendezvous Bar on 3rd Street involving a tall male with long dreadlocks punching another male on the ground; the reporting person stated there are two other people there, “cheering him on,” a male and female; while on the line, dispatch was advised the fight has ended, and the people are leaving the area, walking down the alley; officers were sent to another call downtown, and will BOLO for the person matching the description.
9:29 p.m. — Caller from Subway Restaurant on Avenue A reports a male inside, possibly intoxicated, is starting to give customers a hard time, asking for change, etc.; officers arrived, and found the male was already leaving.

1:05 a.m. — Control took a report of a group of kids in the park on King Street side of Hayden Street; gone on arrival of police.
12:20 a.m. — Disturbance reported at Greenfield Country Estates on Adams Road where the caller says a group of males are outside her place, and they are possibly arguing, and listening to loud music; officer found one male, intoxicated, listening to music, and advised him to keep it down.
