Our Seasons of the Quabbin Reservoir — Friday, Nov. 4, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary, 127 East St. in Easthampton. Photographer Dale Monette will show his seasonal images of the Quabbin during the indoor presentation to adults. The cost is $6 for members and $8 for nonmembers. Understanding Net Zero Water — Take a tour on Thursday, Nov. 3, of Hitchcock’s new net-zero water system with the civil engineer who designed it for its new building and the Kern Center at Hampshire College. Chris Chamberland, a civil engineer with Berkshire Design, will relate the buildings’ systems to Hitchcock’s traditional water systems.The tour is free, but registration online is appreciated at: www.hitchcockcenter.org
Wildlife images and landscapes — with photographer Dale Monette, who specializes in nature photography. The event will be Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 7 to 8;30 p.m. at Northfield Mountain Recreation and Environmental Center. Monette will share his unique familiarity with the land and the animals of Massachusetts and the Quabbin watershed through his photographs. An expert in the nature and history of the Quabbin Reservoir, he spent the last 30 years with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation working at Quabbin as an educator and naturalist before he retired.
