The opening round of the playoffs in the Thomas Women’s League took place on Wednesday, with Sally Malloy (44), Deb Cote (45), Jenn Murphy (46) and Leslie Heath (48) qualifying for the finals, which take place next Wednesday at Thomas Memorial.
In the 2 person scramble, the mother-daughter duo of Sue Mailloux and Katelyn Mailloux-Little came out on top with a score of 39. Murphy won closest to the pin on No. 7 (14 feet).
Northfield Golf Course
Mike Stevens and Dave Prevost tallied the low gross of 34 in the Timmons-Messer League at the Northfield Golf Course on Wednesday.
Rob Schrader and Matt Sykes took second (36). Andy Helgerson and Bill Bourbeau won a match of cards over Kyle Matteson and Ed Underwood to card the low net of 25.
Matt Deane won closest to the pin on No. 6 (seven feet, nine inches) and Ed Marvell won on No. 7 (5-1). Bill Bourbeau finished as the match medalist (36) followed by Ronnie Parker (37) and Stevens (37).
