12:54 p.m. — Report of accident at Route 2 and Adams Road, two vehicles involved, officers and Fire Department sent; report issued.
2:30 p.m. — Caller from Main Street reports a subject making posts on Facebook about crooked police and doing something bad today, and pulling out a gun; The known person made veiled threats of harming police; same was last seen wearing cargo shorts, possibly camo, dark-colored T-shirt and a hat, but not a ball cap; the subject has a history of fighting police, use cautioned. Situation investigated.
2:33 p.m. — Breaking and entering, reported at Juniper Court and the reporting person says he left at 8 a.m. and stated he just got home and the front door was kicked in; he said no one is in the apartment; officer contacted Leyden Woods management to have someone respond to the location; officers, assisted by maintenance, who had already repaired the door plate, who came on the scene, and advised it was a loose screw on the plate; no damage observed; determined the door wasn’t forced open, no items missing.
3:29 p.m. — Despondent person reported at the Recover Project on Federal Street where police were requested to check welfare of a female who just left this location, very upset, and stating she wanted to kill herself; officers and Medcare contacted; the Turners Falls ambulance now en route as mutual aid, as all other units are tied up on a smoke investigation.
3:40 p.m. — Report of a fire in a structure at High and Sanderson streets where the reporting person says smoke is coming from the building or the backyard of a white house, at this corner; Fire Department located a person cutting concrete on High Street, and there is dust showing for that; Fire Department will be checking other corner houses.
4:10 p.m. — Reporting person received by a call regarding a vehicle that has been parked on First Congregational Church parking lot on Silver Street for several months; and they advise that there was a female that had been sleeping in the vehicle, but they haven’t seen her in sometime; the red 1998 Chevy GMT shows no inspection status; the vehicle is parked on private property and would need to be removed by the property owner; the property owner isn’t willing to pay for the tow; dispatch tried to make contact with the owner of the vehicle, but a voicemail was left.
5:15 p.m. — Forgery or fraud reported at the ARC of Franklin County on Summer Street, where the reporting person and her advocate are requesting an officer regarding her caseworker from the ARC that she has had for the last three years; the reporting person advised they were notified by the manager of ARC today that the caseworker has been stealing money from the involved person for some time; the case is under investigation.
5:49 p.m. — Disturbance reported at Maurice’s at the mall on Mohawk Trail where the reporting person says that there are a group of six to eight people that have been loitering outside of the store for several hours and have scattered belongings or trash around; caller says no customers have complained, but they would like them moved along; officers sent, located those involved and they were moved along.
4:02 a.m. — Caller from the Franklin Recovery Center on Federal Street states she is “trapped,” inside the intake office at this location, for more than an hour, and the staff isn’t responding to assist her; the reporting person is requesting to go to the ER for evaluation; she stated she has been off her meds for three months, and is feeling suicidal; officers located the female and provided her with a courtesy transport to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
4:52 a.m. — Hazardous condition on Birch Street where the caller reports a large limb down blocking the roadway and has taken electrical lines down; fire command reports a Compact line is down across the road, and that Verizon wire is hanging low across the roadway; both companies were advised; found that the tree limb fell on coaxial cable, and knocked it down; Fire Department has moved the limb and caution tape put up around the down wires, and should be fine till the utilities respond.
7:30 a.m. — Probable cause for arrest on Princeton Terrace where officers made an arrest of Brennan P. White, 40, of Princeton Terrace, Greenfield, on three charges of breaking and entering into a building in the daytime with intent to commit a felony, and one charge of breaking and entering into a building in the daytime with intent to commit a felony (barn), larceny from a building (chain saw), two charges of larceny of a firearm, conspiracy to larceny of the chain saw, and three charges of carrying a firearm without a license.
8:50 a.m. — Caller reports an accident at the Interstate 91 rotary, two vehicles involved, but no injuries reported. Information exchanged.
10:34 a.m. — Larceny reported on Monroe Avenue where the caller says he was working at a house there, and came back to his truck and his backpack blower was gone; officer sent, and found that taken from the back of a landscape truck parked in the driveway of the house, was a large red Echo backpack lawn blower; a white mid-size car was seen in the area; under investigation.
