Plenty of golfers have likely pre-envisioned how they’ll play Crumpin-Fox Club’s eighth hole over the years as they stepped into the tee box at the 18-hole Robert Trent Jones-designed course.

Well, add the world’s No. 1-ranked golfer, Jason Day, to the list, at least as part of a TaylorMade golf equipment television commercial is concerned.

The Bernardston course’s par-5, 500-yard signature hole is among holes from four courses featured during the 30-second spot airing nationally.

Day is a 15-time PGA Tour winner, including one major championship, the 2015 PGA Championship.

The current ad features Day going through his routine prior to teeing off before he closes his eyes. Viewers are then supposed to enter Day’s mind, which flashes through aerial views of four courses, including the Crump. Also pictured in the spot are Chambers Bay (in Washington), Whistling Straits (Wisconsin) and Aviara (California), which are three upscale courses around the country.

“We are totally blown-away to appear in this video with the world’s best courses,” said Michael Behn, president and chief operating officer of Sandri Companies, which owns the course.

The advertisement also shows aerial footage of Crump’s sixth and seventh holes. The footage was shot using a drone about a year ago and was supposed to be used in a different campaign by TaylorMade, according to Behn. He said that when the new ad was being created, Scott Frost, who is on the marketing staff at TaylorMade and who grew up in Bernardston and actually lives next to the third green, called Crumpin-Fox to ask if the course could be featured.

The advertisement can be seen on YouTube, titled, “Jason Day Decisions.”
