As a retired chief probation officer of 35 years in Franklin County, I have worked closely with the House of Correction and can tell you that corrections is not an easy job and is probably the toughest of all law enforcement careers.
Lori Streeter has worked over three decades at the House of Correction, rising up from the ranks of correction officer to superintendent to sheriff, having been promoted by the three past sheriffs. She knows the runnings of that facility “inside-out” and remains a tough, smart and, most of all, positive-thinking professional. I’m sure these qualities are why Gov. Maura Healey chose Lori, over one and a half years ago, as our sheriff. During this time, Lori has continued running a “well-oiled” state- and federally acclaimed corrections program and she remains the first female sheriff in Franklin County history and the third statewide.
I am pleased to be voting to keep Lori Streeter as our sheriff!
