The Franklin County Bulldogs defeated Frontier, 28-14, in South Deerfield on Sunday. The win put the Bulldogs in sole possession of first place in Division 2 of the Suburban Amateur Football League.
Dayzar Crapps opened the scoring for the Bulldogs with a 19-yard rushing touchdown. Benjamin Woodard then threw a 9-yard touchdown to Avery Lococo in the second quarter to give the Bulldogs a 14-0 lead. Woodard found Lococo again for a 22-yard touchdown later in the quarter.
Jackson Puchalski ran for a 65-yard touchdown in the third quarter. Nathan Ortiz (seven tackles), Wesley Darling (6 tackles) and Puchalski (three tackles) shored up the defensive effort for the Bulldogs. Ortiz and Darling combined for five tackles for a loss.

Stoneleigh-Burnham 3, St. Andrews 2 — The Owls (5-2) won a five-set thriller on October 7. Set scores were 25-20, 22-25, 25-21, 18-25 and 15-8. Aby Youmell had six kills, 17 assists and five aces in the win. Macy Buxton (eight digs) and Jenna Hamilton (seven digs) helped the defensive effort. Karli Zera added nine kills and added seven aces for the Owls.
At a River Valley Athletic League cross country meet at the Putney School, Stoneleigh-Burnham’s Lili Green led the pack in the girls division, finishing first overall with a time of 25 minutes, 26 seconds.
