Jane Konvelski

South Deerfield, MA – Jane Konvelski, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Baystate Hospital, following a brief battle with cancer. Surrounded by family, flowers, and photographs of loved ones, Jane took her final breath during prayer.

Born November 23, 1939, Jane was the daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Usadvenus) Laskoski. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Konvelski; her adored son, Michael Konvelski; and her sisters, Diane Kirby, Mary Shaffer, Gloria Connelly, and Lois Krok. She leaves behind her loving sisters, Ruth Smith and Arlene Lawson, and many cherished friends.

Jane’s greatest pride and joy was her beloved son, Michael. He was her whole world, and she took tremendous pride in the man he became, his accomplishments, and the businesses he built. She never missed an opportunity to speak proudly of him, and his happiness and successes brought her immeasurable joy. He was, and always would be, the greatest love of her life.

Jane proudly drove a school bus for the Town of Deerfield for over 40 years. She was deeply devoted to her family, visiting the cemetery daily to tend to their graves and flowers. Known for her delicious homemade golumpkis, pickles, pierogies, and pies, Jane generously shared her cooking throughout the community. A lifetime member of the South Deerfield Polish American Citizens’ Club, Jane will be remembered for her remarkable strength, unwavering determination, fiery spirit, and the fierce love and devotion she had for those closest to her.

Family and friends are invited to come together to honor Jane’s life on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wrisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery in Deerfield, where Jane will be laid to rest alongside those she loved so dearly.

Following the burial, all are welcome to gather for a celebration of Jane’s life and share the memories she leaves behind at the South Deerfield Polish American Citizens’ Club, where she was a lifetime member. Services have been lovingly arranged by Ashley Falkenbach, whom Jane embraced as a granddaughter, with the hope that those who knew and loved Jane will gather to share stories, laughter, and fond memories of a truly unforgettable woman.

May Jane rest peacefully, reunited with her beloved Michael and those she missed so dearly.
