Date selected for auction of town-owned properties in Shelburne

SHELBURNE — A date has been chosen for the auction of town-owned properties that were taken because of back taxes.

The auction, to be conducted by Sullivan & Sullivan Auctioneers, will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. at Memorial Hall. While there are technically six lots involved, there will be five properties to bid on, as two of the lots were small enough that they were combined.

For each of the properties, the minimum bid is $5,000. If someone is interested in bidding on all five properties, they would need to bring five separate $5,000 checks. The final winning bidder needs to pay that amount within 30 days.

For more information on the bidding process, visit sullivan-auctioneers.com.
