Greenfield, MA – Barbara M. (Greene) Sarrazin, 86, of Greenfield, Ma, died peacefully on September 22, 2026. She was born in Northampton, Ma on May 8, 1940. She is predeceased by her husband, Paul Sarrazin, her parents Lorenzo and Dora Greene, and her sisters, Elaine, Linda and Sheron.
She is survived by her children, Michael, Paul, Betsy and Peter. Her cherished grandchildren, Jeff, Kelli, Scott, Emily, Justin and Kyle. And her only great grandson, Charlie. She is also survived by her sister, Martha, and her brother, Wilfrid, and several nieces and nephews.
She was a beloved Head Start teacher for many years. She also loved gardening and tending to her many indoor plants. Later in life she enjoyed word search puzzles and anything Paul Newman.
I would like to thank Regal Care in Greenfield for the exceptional care they gave to my mother. I never went there without someone stopping me and telling me how much they loved her. I will always be grateful.
I would also like to thank my dear friend, Stacie Mackie. She loved mom and took care of her as if she were her own mother. She was with her in her final hours when I couldn’t be.
There will be no service at Barbara’s request.
