GREENFIELD — In collaboration with the Greenfield Business Association and the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Greenspace CoWork’s new owners are reviving the Business Breakdown, an interview series that the coworking space’s founders launched in 2022.
The series’ first installment will shine a spotlight on another local business that is familiar with the power of second acts and transformation. Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory co-owner Victoria Tubbs will be featured on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Greenspace CoWork’s 289 Main St. location.
The conversation will focus on the story behind the business, from its origins and evolution to the challenges, decisions and lessons that have shaped it. Each Business Breakdown session will conclude with an audience question-and-answer period.
“The Business Breakdown was one of our favorite Greenspace traditions, and we’re excited to bring it back,” Nismah Osman, who co-owns Greenspace CoWork with Sarah Little, said in a statement. “These conversations give aspiring entrepreneurs an honest look at what it takes to start and grow a business, while giving experienced business owners an opportunity to learn from one another. There’s a lot of value in creating a space where people can talk openly about what’s worked, what hasn’t and what they’ve learned along the way.”
The Business Breakdown series began in March 2022, when Greenspace CoWork’s co-founders Jeremy Goldsher and Jeff Sauser launched a monthly gathering on the third floor of the Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center. The series created a platform for local business owners to speak about their experiences, share resources, and discuss building and sustaining a business in Franklin County.
Osman and Little took over Greenspace CoWork in November 2025, and marked the transition with a grand reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony in April of this year.
“We’ve been working toward the return of the Business Breakdown, and bringing it back now is a great addition to the energy we’re seeing across Greenfield,” Hannah Rechtschaffen, who leads the Greenfield Business Association, said in a statement. “Programs like this bring people together, create new connections, inspire entrepreneurship and give folks another reason to spend time on Main Street. We’re excited to partner with Greenspace and the chamber to bring the series back.”
The Oct. 1 event is free and open to the public, with light refreshments provided. Advance registration is requested through the Greenspace CoWork website. Businesses interested in presenting at a future Business Breakdown are invited to complete the inquiry form, which is also available on the Greenspace CoWork website at greenspacecowork.com/event/breakdown.
