Blessed Trinity Rosary Society holding fall tag sale
GREENFIELD — The Blessed Trinity Rosary Society will hold the second day of its fall tag sale at Holy Trinity Church, 135 Main St., on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The sale will offer household items, linens, books and more. There will also be a bake sale and raffle, and a bag sale at noon on Saturday. Two bags cost $1.
GCC to host talk on sexuality, wellness and aging
GREENFIELD — Greenfield Community College will host a conversation about sexuality and aging featuring award-winning educator, sexuality researcher and podcaster Jane Fleishman on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Titled “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now: The Pleasures and Pitfalls of Sexuality as We Age,” the event will explore how sexuality can change throughout the aging process, and how people can continue to experience intimacy, pleasure and sexual wellness as they grow older.
“As we age, we often know ourselves and our bodies better,” Fleishman said in a statement. “Yet, societal taboos around sexuality, particularly the sexuality of older adults, can make these conversations difficult or uncomfortable.”
Fleishman will draw on current research and her experience as a sexuality professional to discuss common challenges, offer practical information and resources, and create space for participants to ask questions and engage in confidential discussion. The session will include tips and resources specifically for older adults.
Fleishman earned her doctorate from Widener University’s Center for Human Sexuality Studies at age 62. Her work focuses on promoting sexual wellness among older adults, with particular attention to LGBTQ elders and elders of color.
She is the author of “The Stonewall Generation: LGBTQ Elders on Sex, Activism, and Aging.” She also co-hosts “Our Better Half,” a podcast about sex in the second half of life, and recently gave a TEDx talk titled “Is It OK for Grandma to Have Sex?”

Oct. 10: BRKN Music Ministry to perform
GREENFIELD — BRKN Music Ministry, a Christian contemporary band and outreach ministry, will perform on the Greenfield Common on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 3 to 7 p.m. The program is sponsored by Living Waters Assembly of God.
One more lobster roll sale coming up
GREENFIELD — Arcana Chapter No. 50, the local chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, has one more lobster roll sale to go, on Oct. 9, before winter break. The October sale is traditionally the sale when all proceeds support the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
The bagged lunches cost $18 for lobster or $9 for chicken salad. Each meal includes a roll, a 4-ounce container of lobster (no fillers) or chicken salad, a bag of chips and a brownie. Pickup starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge, located at 215 Munson St.
The lobster roll lunches are the main fundraiser for the local chapter’s charities. The Arcana Chapter welcomes reservations by Oct. 5 for the Oct. 9 sale. Call 413-773-3761 or 413-422-2267 to place orders.
Craft vendor space available for Snowflake Bazaar
GREENFIELD — Arcana Chapter No. 50, the local chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, is getting ready for its Snowflake Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 14, and invites crafters to register for table space by Oct. 15.
