The Franklin County Bulldogs went on the road and beat Quabbin, 24-0, at Benjamin Roach Field in Hardwick on Sept. 13. The Bulldogs started the scoring with a 65-yard touchdown run from Avery Lococo. The Bulldogs scored a second time when Lococo hit Dayzar Crapps with a 20-yard touchdown pass to increase the lead to 12-0.
The Bulldogs closed out the half when Ben Woodard hit Lococo with a 30-yard touchdown. Woodard later hit Lococo again with a 14-yard touchdown pass. Lococo ended the day with 110 yards of total offense.
Nate Ortiz led the defense with seven tackles, three for a loss with a fumble recovery and Treyvon Ndissi added seven tackles. Toby Campbell chipped in with four tackles and a fumble recovery.
Franklin County Bulldogs (juniors) 18, Quabbin 6 — The Bulldogs controlled the line of scrimmage in a wet slugfest on Sept. 13 thanks to the efforts of Kent Warner, Silas Tefft, Mason Lovett, Elijah Kolosewicz, and Pheonyx Maynard.
Orion Ortiz scored twice while Brock Puchalski capped the scoring with a late touchdown. Jace Brunelle, Justin Martin, Damien McCarthy led the defensive effort.
Franklin County Bulldogs (pee-wee) 20, Quabbin 12 — Junior Eady rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown in the win for the Bulldogs on September 13. Remmy Verdery added a couple touchdowns with 95 yards. Baylor Malone and Xavier McCarthy (three tackles) scored on conversions.
Cody Castine forced a fumble, recovered by Eady. Castine finished with seven tackles and two sacks. Oliver Avery and Rowan Murphy both added three tackles to help the defense.
Racing
Rush Moody of South Deerfield took home the 2026 Wild Thing Kart Series-Tiger B championship at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, Conn.
Moody races for Moody Brothers Racing. It was Moody’s second consecutive championship at the event after winning the Tiger C championship last year.
Moody consistently races against 24 other competitors each week in the in his class.
At Monadnock Motor Speedway, Bernardston’s JD Stockwell won for the 10th time this season in the Limited Late Model race on Sept. 12. With the victory, Stockwell took home the Division’s Triple Crown Series.

Gill Woodworks 7, Tar Heels 6 — Pat Vinciek hit Jalen Sanders in overtime, giving Gill Woodworks the win. Sanders caught the all-important conversion as well. Jim DeBenidento found Kashawn Brantley in overtime for the Tar Heels.
J&J Athletics 15, Sirum 0 — J&J Athletics used defense to upend Sirum, with Trevor Thomas returning an interception for a touchdown and Pat Clancy adding a safety. Mak Rodgers added a 4-yard touchdown to Curtis Dowers. RJ Byrd had three interceptions for Sirum.
Blitzing Bears 28, Firebirds 0 – Gabriel Fernandez hit Steve Torres and Evan Graham with touchdown passes and returned an interception for score to lead the Bears to a victory. Cody Baker ran for 38 yards in a losing effort.
