The Athol golf team registered its first win of the season, beating Mohawk 211-218 at Ellinwood Country Club on Wednesday. Owen Stoddard earned medalist honors, shooting a 42 for the Bears in the Bi-County East matchup.
Tyler Kaczmarczyk had a solid round, shooting a 48 for Athol.
Chayton Massa led Mohawk (0-1) with a 52. Conner Bergeron shot a 53 for the Warriors.

Frontier 174, Turners Falls 174 — The Redhawks got their first win of the season via a tiebreaker against the Thunder at Thomas Memorial on September 1. Cam Cogswell of Turners Falls was the medalist, shooting a 36. Christian Powell shot a 40 for the Redhawks. Teddy McCarthy shot a 44 for Frontier, with Jamie McCarthy and Addy Wood carding a 45.
Jameson Betters notched a 42 for the Thunder.

Westfield Tech 172, Pioneer 191 — The Panthers took Bi-County East loss at Shaker Farms Country Club in their season-opener on August 31. Carter Gerry led Pioneer, shooting a 45 on the day. Chris Pedersen took medalist honors for the Tigers with a 39. Liam Bassett carded a 45 for the Panthers.
