With practices starting Monday for fall sports, the Turners Falls boys soccer team seeks a varsity and junior varsity coach to take over the program immediately.
The Thunder won their first sectional title in program history last season. Anybody interested in the position should contact Turners Falls Athletic Director Jen Luciano at jluciano@gmrsd.org.
Charity golf
The Montague Center Firefighters Association is holding their annual golf tournament on Sept. 12 at Thomas Memorial. Start time is 8 a.m. There is still time to put a team together or sponsor a tee or green for $50. Price for a team is $400 which includes a cart.
There will be hot dogs on the turn, raffles, lunch and prizes. To enter email Montaguecenter@gmail.com. Venmo is available. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the fire department equipment fund.
