I first met Lora Wondolowski through Leadership Pioneer Valley, and I was struck by the combination of experience and energy she brought to the room. She has spent years doing the work of building stronger communities, but she still brings a fresh perspective and a real sense of possibility to the challenges facing our region. It’s foundational to why I’m supporting her for state representative.

Lora has earned endorsements from the Sierra Club, Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution (FCCPR), the Working Families Party, Progressive Massachusetts and the Massachusetts Alliance Against Predatory Lending. Together, they reflect a broad vision for our region: one where climate action, affordability, economic opportunity and strong communities reinforce one another.

Those are not abstract issues to me. I want to raise my daughter in a place where she can see a future for herself — a place where she can afford to live, find meaningful work, build a family if she chooses and feel connected to the community around her. That takes more than good intentions. It takes leaders willing to tackle the big challenges while keeping their feet firmly planted in the realities of everyday life.

Serving in local government has made me especially aware of how much it matters who represents us at the state level. The decisions made on Beacon Hill have a direct impact on what our towns can accomplish and what opportunities are available to the people who live here.

Lora brings something especially valuable to that role: she has the experience to understand how to get things done, while still bringing the independence, perspective and urgency of someone who isn’t simply carrying forward the status quo.

I’m proud to support Lora Wondolowski for state representative. I hope you’ll join me in voting for her.
